I know he made remarks like this on the TD tour but back then I kinda agreed with him, seen as about 24 people in the US bought KTF and TD and they played 3 sold out nights at Wembley.

However since then i've been lucky to meet some of the most loyal fans in the States who deserve decent shows as much as anyone and not just sh1te like LH and WWWB. They are not spoilt like Europeans, I know me and Seb talked about the Giants shows last summer as being pretty average (setlist wise anyhow) yet those guys were going nuts. They don't ask for alot and If Jon had said this about UK fans i'd be fuming too!

As far as the US setlists go, I feel for the fans who went to those shows with the shitty static setlists, it was boring to follow them on here. And the fact that they come straight over here, we get Richie back and quality setlists must be galling.

Maybe in Jons mind he is just giving each audience what they wants- he think the US crowds prefer LH infused sets, whereas they don't like TD. TD was popular here and he subsitutes the two to a degree. Maybe. But I think its a bit rich of him to say the Americans don't give a shit about rare songs when he doesnt even play them for them to be an alleged shit crowd for! He prices the fans out of the best seats, plays the same shitty 22 song setlists for nights on the trot, not in many ways dissimilar to tours since 2005 onwards and then wonders why the crowd arent in raptures!
Thank you for that, Brian. You've said it perfectly.

I don't know if your percentage of casual fans is actually lower than ours or not. Maybe it is. But European stadiums aren't FILLED with diehards anymore than our arenas are completely lacking in them.

This video is from Zagreb. Watch the middle to back of the field - that's no different than what you see here. Yes, up front, they're totally engaged in Raise Your Hands. At the back . . . not so much.

This one is from Oslo. Look at the people in the stands who are sitting - DURING BLAZE! You can't tell me they're diehards.

This is what I do know - it's incredibly disappointing to hear Jon say something like this after you've helped fill arena after arena just hoping for ONE something special each night - even continuing to go when they hit the road without Richie and you knew the chance for something special was REALLY slim. I may not be the best fan that there is, and I've only been a fan since 2007, but I'm not the worst fan either. Clearly Jon thinks so, though. His interest in the band's American fans ends at our wallets.

Bon Jovi should play the same setlist every night. 24 songs, hits + fan favourites. Not hard.

Putting aside what he said about Americans, this interview is hugely encouraging for anyone attending a European show, no matter where or how big the show is, you know you have a good chance of getting something really decent

I'm not going to comment on Jon's remark as I have mixed feelings but set lists aside, I so WISH I was able to come to some shows overseas simply to be able to hang with my friends like you Carli! Really bumming about that!!

Overall, sporting events are becoming like Bon Jovi concerts, actually. Those who just come out to a game for entertainment every now and then or people with a lot of money are able to sit in the lower section or better yet within the first few rows where people are the most visible. Lower level hockey tickets can be expensive. Same thing with Bon Jovi.

Some the of real supporters of the team are in the nosebleeds or top of the lower level so that they can afford to go to as many of the 41 home games they can afford to see their home team. Same thing with Bon Jovi.

I am absolutely speaking from experience. Those who know me best on this board, know I am an absolute Philadelphia Flyers fan nut. If you want to have a good time and sit with some real fans, sometimes the best seats in the house are in the nosebleeds.

I definitely think there are differences between European crowds and American crowds from what I have seen on videos but then again, I can recall just a month ago when Bon Jovi had their American set up so to speak at the O2, people where complaining about the poor crowds. It's the atmosphere that Bon Jovi have created for themselves by out-pricing their passionate fans.

This comment also just seems somewhat stupid to me. Twice the amount of shows? A lot of would trade it for a lot less shows and better setlists.

Also if you lived in the US, would you be flying from New York to Los Angeles to see a show? Florida to Uncasville? Maybe once for the NMS run but that's about it. It's not feasible and therefore doesn't matter how many shows are in the US.

Nope, no chance Carli...blame the two women in my department who went out on maternity leave. I have to pick up their slack so I just can't get enough time off to justify the cost of the trip.

See, part time fans like you, is exactly why Jon pulls out the rare songs over here... *runs and hides*
