Why not sing solo songs?
Because no one cares about Destination Anywhere or the album cuts of Blaze of Glory. You can't honestly wonder why he'd do Jovi hits over those.

I really enjoy Everyday People. If Jon could figure out to write songs as such, he still has somewhat of a chance vocally. Songs that are not vocally demanding with lots of back up singers.... Same with his version of Its Only Make Believe

I don't disagree with that. Just making the point that he absolutely has every right to sing the Bon Jovi hits and shouldn't give them up because he wrote them with Richie.

Blaze of Glory is a hit, he could play it and sing it with some arrangements for it to be easier, and one song Destination Anywhere would do no harm.

Why did Richie sing BJ songs, co-written or not, on his shows when everywhere else he was distancing himself from the band?

They both have as much right to play any Bon Jovi songs as thats what the fans would expect.

Right. But the difference is that Richie also plays some solo songs, Jon does not. Where is "Not Running Anymore"? that song nominated for a Golden Globe?

That's a really good point.

The weird thing is, Jon had such a hard-on for that song but then completely neglected it.

I think 2 less covers, remove Born To Follow (Jon puts zero energy into it), and add in a solo song from each album plus Not Running.

One day I'd like a real solo show but with Jon's now voice, it probably wouldn't be enjoyable.

God knows, for whatever reason these KOS shows are always BJ + Covers. Hopefully that would change if JBJ did a proper solo show/tour
