Ooooof. WTF

that might be one of the worst renditions I've ever heard of that song. It was mixed with the TLFR version. Jon seriously need to do something. it sad that I'd rather hear Train sing it vs him

Of course, that didn't stop audiences from requesting them when he began touring as a solo artist, and he finally relented. The record label promptly hauled him into court -- and lost!!!

He didn't stop playing CCR songs because he wasn't allowed to do so, but because he didn't want to give any money to Fantasy Records who owned the rights. The lawsuit was about a song he wrote that Fantasy Records claimed was plagiarised from an old CCR song. You can't stop anyone from playing any song live, you can only stop them from releasing them on an album.

Anyone have any footage or clips of Train (Pat Monahan) performing? His voice sounds pretty mediocre too unfortunately which is a shame as his vocals are usually great.

ugh! From Richie's cluster**** and Jon's voice. Following this band is really not worth the time, effort or energy anymore, hope Tico works on a Jazz album collaboration as that's about the most interesting thing that could come out of this band right now....

Both Richie and Jon attempting to do new renditions of classic Bon Jovi songs when they sing them solo is where they're falling short. Both are very capable of singing these songs in the key and tempo we all know and love. Trying to make them "their own" individually makes them sound like shit. They're embarrassing themselves and doing a disservice to the songs.

Wow, that was horrible.

I just read an article that said Bon Jovi had been heavily considered as the entertainment for the Superbowl halftime show this year. I can just imagine, had they been picked, what a disaster that would have become for the band if this is the voice that 100 million people would have been listening to. And I have to wonder if the reason the band wasn't picked is because of Richie dropping out of the tour. If it was, then his leaving may have been a blessing in disguise.

Such hate. I really didn't find anything that egregious about this performance. Jon's voice sounded solid on the opening verse. Couldn't hit "on a steel horse" in tune though, nor "6 string on my back". It's not as if Pat's voice sounded any better.
