The vocals in this version are watered down beyond repair. It's a terrible performance of a completely tuned down version of a song.

It is what it is... an average performance. Jons voice does sound tired. He needs to just take a year off and rediscover what made him and the band great.

There really is nothing solid about the entire performance. Now I can't sing Wanted, but I can do it better than Jon, who can't even hit the notes he's using to avoid the notes he can't hit. This is easily the worst performance of Wanted I've ever heard, and that includes the ones during which he "had a cold".

My first thought was maybe he really did have a cold. I asked a family member of mine to listen to the song without seeing the picture. The 1st thing she said was "well, it's not Jon singing. Who is it? It sounds terrible!" Had I not saw the picture 1st, I wouldn't know it was him either.

Dave Grohl - My Hero This is great. A man, a guitar, a micro.

Now imagine Jon singing his cheesy Superman Tonight.

Your hero co-wrote that song.

That was a low blow, man. We all know who was behind that song.

Matt, didn't you know that if Richie's name is listed as a cowriter of a song it doesn't mean anything if the song is bad. He just happened to be in the room while Jon wrote it. If however the song is good, then he was the mastermind behind it. At least that's the way certain Richie fans see it. He's responsible for everything good with the band and takes no responsibility for anything that they do that's less than stellar.

I'm glad Bon Jovi's not the SuperBowl half time entertainment. They're a trainwreck lately and it would be terrible publicity. Jon needs to retrain his voice and Richie needs to get his head out of his ass. They don't need a high profile gig until they get themselves worked back into shape.

Right. Because you don't like it there's no way Richie could have been involved. Got it.

Jon's voice sounds really different. It's not an awful performance, though. I actually prefer that to him sounding like he's in agony going for a high note.

On another note, he is looking a lot older now.
