Becky, you're so right, on both counts. Hope the Richie police don't jump your butt for stating the obvious. Also, Jon's peeled his hair short and is letting the gray show, which can make him look older. He'll be what, 52 his birthday? Everyone needs a nice long break.

Although I think they would suit the half time show well, i'm glad they didn't get picked this year too. You are so exposed to criticism that, given the state of the band and Jon's voice, it would have done the band no favours.

The time for them to do it was Circle/Bon Jovi live tour. Felt like they had a mini resonance, both in popularity and quality of their live performances.

Yeah, doing the Superbowl half time show would have pretty much killed them off to be honest. With the state of Jon's voice and no Richie, the headlines and reaction would have been brutal

OMG. This is embarrassing. I wonder if Jon doesn't feel that way singing like this in front of people.

I love to sing when I'm showering or playing my guitar in my room, even though I can't sing at all. When I have a barbecue with my friends and they ask me to sing something, I refuse because I feel embarrassed, and I guarantee you that I can sing Wanted better than Jon nowadays.

Hmmm...when you start losing your looks, you better have your voice. When you start losing your voice, you better have your rock star persona and that is something Jon doesn't cultivate and, in fact, is distancing himself from. Having said that, kudos to him and the band for still being able to play arenas and draw in 20,00-50,000 fans and entertaining them for 2+ hours. I am thinking that the next tour, whenever it occurs, will be the last one and it could go either way: a big draw or a big pass.

Jons looks are weird lately. He looked 60 in some recent photos that ive seen and then I just saw a bunch of pics from two days ago of Jon at some event and he looked 35. I thought the pics were from DA.

I think it's his hair that dictates his looks

Coming from someone just a few years younger than Jon…it's all about the lighting… ha ha!!

Fantasy did accuse Forgerty of plagiarizing himself LOL. But they lost because Forgerty was able to prove that Fantasy had deliberately deceived him into believing that he had no rights to any CCR songs of any kind. The judge looked over the contract and decided that Fogerty had been screwed over above and beyond the call of duty!

Yeah and Pat's voice wasn't even that good. If you watch Train's recent performance on the Today show where they performed the new single and a couple of other hits, he sounds even better.
