just a few thoughts after watching all the you tube clips:

1. jon is in great shape, having fun and his voice is in really good condition. his voice makes me wonder what happened during 98-2006???and why he let it be in such bad shape...if you think about it its quite strange...a man who is so careful and consistent about everything why was so careless about his voice,,,i m not saying it is now what it used to ,but now he can atleast reach higher notes without making me feel nervous about the outcome(true...)!!!

2.jon really pulled off "i m your man", and i think this is the direction jon trully wants to follow, bigger band, horns, another groove. it wont happen in a bj record but it looks like he really likes a mix between cohen/e street band/southside johnny etc..

3. jon wanted to make a solo album at first, he must have felt really strong about the songs in order to want to present them in a wider audience with the band and not as a solo project.

4. jons guitar playing has really improved..ok, its funny to say the least having sambora in your band and giving solos to bobby and jon but he plays decent now. his improvement is useful for the band as well imo cause i m sure the outro of thorn in my side with the guitar harmonies was a jon melody!!!

5. hallelugah(i wrote it wrong i know...) always takes a big applause from the audiences, sth i hadnt really noticed before.

6. being in a jbj band and still making bad name sound like a school cover band is a bit lame.

7. it looked like a nice show!!

anyone know for sure if Good Times was actually played? hasn't turned up on youtube and many can't recall the song being played. also, someone told me it wasn't on the setlist for the gig.

He's not playing it right.

It's probably not too noticeable to non drummers but he's hitting the bass drum too often and playing fills in places they shouldn't be.

I'm not too much of a drummer and I noticed this too. I kinda like it. It gives the song some different perspective after 25 years of the same, drab versions. Not better than Tico, though (duh).

Ah sorry. I thought you meant ''all over the place'' as in like he was giving the song a bit more quality.

I'm a drummer too and I agree. 'Bad Name's a song to just give the beat to and be done with it. Not particularly exciting.

I like the chorus being played with ride, not with hi-hat like originally......

What's your favourite Bon Jovi song to play?

Lay Your Hands On Me is fun but Keep The Faith would have to be my choice.
