From what I understand, a venue needs to sell x amount of tickets to sell out, even though they have Y amount of seats in the house. So say that the O2 has 20,000 seats....Jovi would only have to sell like 15,000 for a recorded sellout from the arena because at every concert some seats are blocked off and opened due to demand. When they came to the Palace of Auburn Hills twice on the LH tour, they got a banner the first time for their 10th sellout in that arena, and when they came back they got a banner for their 11th sellout there, and both banners are being hung now in the top rafters of the arena. And, at both concerts, there were seats that were open on both sides, it definatly wasnt a total sellout.

I believe the number is 85% of seats sold to record a sellout.

I'm honestly not surprised that it's selling that well. BJ doesn't play inside in Europe these are really intimate shows for many European fans that don't come to the US to see the band. It's a whole different experience and my guess is you all are going to get some amazing sets, especially as the shows add up. The songbook may well get opened wide during this residency, and if the new record is as big a hit as it's shaping up to be, lots and lots of people making the trek to London to hear and see.

Exciting setlists like the 10 shows in Newark?
