I really don't see this Marc. One of the highlights of Night One to me was how into it JBJ was, especially on some of the lesser known songs like LTOR. He was also much more into DC than at the Garden.

i've said it once and i'll say it again, he should lower the key. it's better than sounding like he's about to cum or something.
I'll make a serious post.

Forgetting the lyrics - only human. Leave it alone.

He is singing very well and sounds much better than he did for most, if not all, of the 'Lost Highway' tour.

The last comment was basically why I told you to shut up. You've completely backtracked since then, though, so whatever.

Again, the thing with the lyrics, to me anyway. Had the song been setlisted and he ****ed up, than it's a different story. But the song was a total audible, and not even in an audible slot, he picked it up off a banner during BoR.

I dont mind him forgetting the lyrics since it happens to everyone once in a while.
But yeah, I thought Jon sounded awful on that Always. 2008 versions are wayyy better. Jon is probably kinda sick since last week, and thats why vocal wise its not as good as for example 1/2 months ago, when his voice was fantastic.

I'm still not hearing the bad vocals on Always. Sounded better at Central Park in '08, but last night beats out the Garden version from two days later. Maybe it has to do with where I was sitting.

Well I haven't seen the band live ever, so my opinion is based on YouTube videos only.

Jon started this tour pretty sloppy, his voice sounded badly during the promo shows (similiar to HAND tour) and I was losing hope. On the first few shows, it was still nasal. However, during the last shows of the USA arenas leg (April) he sounded amazing, the best since 2001 in my opinion, like mentioned, no nasal sound, much better breathing. The news that he quit smoking didn't surprised me, because his voice was really good. And for those who worried about Always on Meadowlands last night, check out Always from Montreal (which was great considering he hadn't sung it in 1,5 years at that point) and Always from Philly Soul show (which was great considering it was before the noon and singers always sound better in the evening).

you know what B - you make a good point about where you are sitting...

could be i was at philly 3rd row circle...he just seemed less canned...and he sounded better but of course that was inside not a stadium - first show at a stadium at that...

and richie was CLEARLY better but he still seems off somewhat...

plus again i had just seen the whole show - it was almost exactly the same -

this feeling - its new for me - i think i have bon jovi live fatigue...maybe im growing, not up or down, just differently - seeing other bands, seeing jovi upteenth times...i was actually startled when i saw that i had paid 170 bux for each ticket...its just....

adding up....

and to be honest i had some jovi goggles on after the show bc of course its a good show i thought they rocked dry county esp the jamming and i figured hmm ii only need one song and im good....well, i think i am not...and again as seb has said - ive already heard DC...

oh honolulu....

but i totally glad you are rockin and enjoying it! as i said its always good and its supercool he played NSG for the guy with the 100th time banner...just feeling for the teleprompter guy now

don't get me wrong people, he's a terrific singer. he sings beautifully and holds notes longer than most singers in the world. his tone is amazing as well and he's breathing better, definitely.
TheseDaysEra, if this is the case, why not just put it down to him being ill or the fact it was a long show and singing 'Dry County' is bloody hard. I know I can't do it.

The above quote is why I said you backtracked. Which it is compared to your original post.
