Default Jon Comments on Upcoming Tour

I just read a post over on backstage that Jon was just interviewed on US tv where he gave a little insight into what to expect on the upcoming tour. He talked about how they never rehearse but that they're doing it now and the guys can't get over how weird it is to play to an empty venue.

He said that he intends to play most if not all of the new album.

He also said they plan to go back and play rare stuff and stuff they've never played before!!!!!

He also said there will be a very important accoustic component to these shows.

Man I'd be so chuffed if all those elements turned out to be true but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yes, very cool. I was hoping they'd play a lot of HAND. And let's soooo hope he keeps his word on playing some rare stuff.

I'd love to see them play most of HAND. If Jon does what he normally does, he'll leave out I Am and I Want To Be Loved, and play Wildflowers and Bells Of Freedom.

I'm in the minority here, but I could care less about an acoustic set in the show. I'm not paying $100 to see them play stripped down versions of their songs.

Write your will then. I'll be shocked if they peform that live. The chorus is too anthemy for Jon to hit.

he said the same stuff basically for the Crush and Bounce tour, so don't keep your hopes too high.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but exactly. I mean, I'll always go and see them and they're still a great live band, but I know what I'm gonna get from a show. As someone else said, Jon's idea of a rarity is Raise Your Hands.

Now, if they were to start playing Good Guys..., Wild Is The Wind or Edge of a Broken Heart, then I'd be surprised.

I read that post earlier and he mentioned I Want to Be Loved in the interview, said it was about abused children. If he's talking about it while talking about the tour, maybe it's on his mind to play it live. I've got my fingers crossed. I hope they leave out Complicated though. (cringe)

I'd LOVE to hear them play it. In fact, the only songs on HAND I don't want to hear are Wildflowers and Bells Of Freedom. They're both just boring.
