HA - He really is full of crap.

"I really wanna incorporate something different into this tour."

As Thierry said, he's said that least 2 tours and we got pretty much the same setlist from show to show.

I don't get why Jon does that. The shows always sell out, regardless of how unoriginal and predicatable they've become. It's the same people at all the shows. Who does he think he's kidding?

In Q magazine before the These Days tour, there was an article done about the band at some college in Philadelphia where they were rehearsing! And also on a US TV profile of Jon, there was footage of the band rehearsing for the Bounce tour.
It's like Jon saying he always mixes up the set-lists- complete rubbish!
I can remember on Vh1's BJ behind the music i ''think'' it was which was like Crush era and he mentioned that theyd done some rehearsin but he also said that the band dont usually do much and they usually sit around eating junk food and talking about how ther goin to quit smoking....so meeeeybe they have actually done some good n proper rehearsin this time...

that was really funny. but i am concerned about this acoustic business. i really think thats gonna happen . his voice is never gonna stand all these dates full electric every single night.

They did an acoustic set in Minneapolis last tour and it was awesome!!! We got some TD stuff, a cover, and some KTF stuff as well. I kind of like this format. The opened with it there but maybe they will put it in the middle on this tour and begin and end rocking out.

I'm in the minority here, but I could care less about an acoustic set in the show. I'm not paying $100 to see them play stripped down versions of their songs.

You've done it again.

You mean you couldn't care less idiot, think about what you're writing. Stop right now, and think about what the words mean.. COULD CARE LESS..COULDNT CARE LESS...jesus its not hard is it?!

Mini accoustic would suit me, It can work in a stadium depnding on what songs they sing and how long it goes on for, ala These Days tour

Good catch.

Way to moderate!

BTW - It's "couldn't", not "coudlnt". And it's "it's", not "its". Learn how to punctuate assmonkey. Jesus, it's not hard, is it?

Jon's idea of mixing up the set list is changing the order the songs are played. Generally, it's the same songs over and over.
I don't think I'd be too keen on an acoustic set...I suppose it would all depend on the type of audience, venue etc. If there are a lot of die hard fans they might love an acoustic set, but if it's mainly non hardcore fans, they might completely tune out.

Yup....he won't play I Am, I Wanna Be Loved or Novacaine. NO ACOUSTIC!!! Someone needs to find out how long of an acoustic set he means when he says the shows will have an "acoustic element."

Aloha !

Wow! 4 days! 4 whole days! I remember when McCartney went back on tour in 2002, he took out 2 full weeks of rehearsing many, many songs and trying out what would work and what wouldn't. And now Bon Jovi takes out 4 days to rehearse. Amazing!

My guess is that they're just rehearsing 4 days to get Bobby and Jeff more into the more "rare" songs like In These Arms and Bed Of Roses. Not the rare stuff Jon is talking about in this interview. He's been saying this acoustic stuff for years now.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
