Aloha !
It's a bit odd how the set is filled with classic hits but out of all the Bon Jovi songs about 3 of them are classics. The others, like We Got It Goin' On, Because We Can, Born To Follow, Lost Highway, Whole Lot Of Leavin' just don't belong in a set like that. This solo band of Jon is just so, so average. Really, at times they sound like a cheap karaoke band, and the lead singer often sounds like he's auditioning as opposed to being the front man there. And yet of all the songs played, the one that rocks the most is the one where Phil X takes lead vocals. The entire band seems to live up as there's actually someone spicing it up. Phil's also showing in 5 minutes what Richie hasn't been capable of in about 10 years now.

That performance is nowhere near this one. In 2005 he actually tried to sing the high parts and didn't sound strained as cat. And remember, just a couple of years ago we considered HAND tour a down period for Jon vocally? Time flies
I guess it was pretty good by today's standards, but I can't see a casual listener (not a Bon Jovi fan) looking at these videos and not thinking "wow, he really lost his voice over the years"

Frankly, with several people on Jovitalk nowadays thinking he's a good singer because he's hitting high notes in Hallelujah (considering there aren't any) it wouldn't surprise me if a casual fan knows **** all about what he's supposed to sound like nowadays. There's still people out there that really, really think Jon is a great singer. Really.
The thing that'll always surprise me is how he's using all kinds of technique to hit a certain note, and yet none of them have anything to do with singing. He's just so obviously doing it wrong but yet when he's supposedly doing it the right way he's not getting anywhere near the right key. There's just no saving anymore.
