Western Canada is like... this whole other side of the country? The band hasn't been out west in almost 15 years. Technically, they've been on this side of the border every tour, but not out here.

Does that make sense to anyone? I'm pretty sure Jon means they'll be heading out West more often.

I think that was what he said. From what I could make out of what he was saying, he talked quite a bit about making up for not being here for so long, and thanking us for the #1 Country song in Canada last year, and for the #1 album with Lost Highway, etc...

He said something about making sure they will come out West next tour. Sorry - I should have been more specific. Not just coming to Canada. I forgot about that whole Toronto thing.

That's correct. They played at Parc Jean Drapeau during the summer leg of the tour.

I hope he means it... In Calgary, he said it was his manager's suggestion to play the Stampede again, which I thought was funny, because they've never played the Stampede? Maybe they have? Either way, I hope he's not full of shit, and that it wasn't just part of his communicate-with-the-audience act.

But... I bet they'll be back, even if it's not their own decision.... maybe they'll even add some more western shows to the next tour. You'd think they'd have played Vancouver by now, seeing as it's a bigger city, and it's where they recorded the Slippery, NJ, and KTF albums?

Very true. It makes no sense. How long has it been since they hit Van? Was it the Crush tour?

I hope when they throw the darts at the map of Canada trying to decide where to play, one lands EAST of Montreal. It's been 12 years since the last concert in Atlantic Canada! And Nova Scotia is "Canada's Ocean Playground", so I wish they'd come here and play.

Edited for clarity: and I mean play instruments, not play with their kids!

I don't think Vancouver was played on the Crush tour. According to Seb's site, the last time the band played in Vancouver was in 1995 at GM Place.

And I'm hoping one of the other darts hits smack dab in the center of Canada (Winnipeg) since they haven't been here since the These Days tour.
