Schofield's brilliant isn't he?! I don't think it was a scheduled question as you could how jittery they all got with it but the fact that he was a bit tentative in asking it (almost giving him a way out by saying he might not have known about it), made it somewhat easier to skirt the issue.

He was being dishonest though IMO and Richie was watching Jon very closely to see how he was going to get himself out of that one. He was doing quite well at covering up the misleading info until he openly admitted that he's in control of all that stuff and then had to quickly backtrack before the interview moved on.

The tell all that Jon is lying is when he says he knew nothing about the "uproar". Give me a break.

I don't think it was about the ticket prices but about the fc-packages. Cause that's what changed later, e.g. that there's now a ticket-only option for in the circle etc.

I don't know if Jon's lying or not but whichever it is, the interview is from last week, right? Well, he obviously hasn't "looked into that" or he has and doesn't see anything wrong with it.

By the way, the best part of that is Richie. So funny how he's looking at Jon like "so, how're you gonna get yourself out of that one?"

No doubt this wasn't a subject Jon wanted to talk about on tv in an eight minute morning show segment. With that said this was taped on the 2nd??? Doubtful Jon had had a chance to look at it even if he knew about it.
it's easy to sit in your chair and say "well, what's he going to do???" And even easier to come up with some solution like "well, he should give us all a free ticket to another show".
In realistic terms there really is no good answer, that is going to pleas everyone.
Options: 1) refund all tickets sold for all shows, US and London, reset the prices and start over. Massive undertaking, probably not actually possible to do. Besides pissing off people who bouhgt tickets that were comfortable with the price, and yes there are people out there who probably don't really care about the price.
2) change the price midstream, oh and have a riot or two from the people that paid the first price.
3) Get back to the US, ask for the pricing breakdown, determine if it's too high, and clamp down on what is charged for the next legs of the tour not currently on sale. Problem here, having to not put these shows on sale until after all the first leg shows have come and gone.
None of these solutions are perfect or even good options, there is no way to make everyone happy with this.

The logistics of it aren't something we should have to worry about, it's their problem that they created for themselves.

If they were to refund a certain percentage of a ticket's price to buyers, I would feel sorry for those people who bought £45 tickets because, at the time, they were the only ones they could afford or were willing to pay for. As was said before, I wouldn't be too bothered about the reactions of the people who stupidly paid over £200 for a ticket as they are as good as condoning the ridiculous prices anyway.

Let's face it though, it was a bare-faced lie and they're blatantly not going to change anything that's already been signed off on - who would refund AEG for their losses cos as far as they're concerned, they've made a killing because people were silly enough to pay in the first place.

I would hope the band would certainly choose to learn from it though.

if BJ find the tickets r to high priced the only way this could be solved is to offer a money voucher off another gig or to be redeemed given to all who attend... I cant see this happening though when the first 10 nights have already been sold out...
