Let's get Paxman onto him!

Yeah, this is just Jon being very dishonest. Mr CEO doesn't know the prices, eh? Sure.

The truth of matter is, whether or not Jon had control or knowledge about the pricing of tickets for the O2 shows prior to them going on sale does not change the fact that he knows about it now and has the control to do something about.

Lets just take him at face value. He said he wasn't aware of the price of a ticket but that he should have and that he does have control over that issue so therefore he'll have to take responsibility for it. If that's the case what are his options.

One is that he can issue a public apology for the error in ticketing prices claiming he wasn't aware but that in future he will ensure it doesn't happen again. That's not going to convince many people or make them happy.

If more dates are announced prices could be set at a much more reasonable price. That's sure to piss off everyone who's already bought a ticket and might even be illegal.

Another is to issue a 50% refund across the board. If you bought a £200 ticket it now will have only cost you £100. If all you could afford was a £45 you're now going to be at a Bon Jovi show for £22.50. Not bad at all. Of course AEG would never take that kind of loss so Jon would have to burden the loss of income himself which would be a noble thing to do.

They could set something in place that anyone who bought a ticket for an O2 will recieve a 50% discount for the 2011 tour.

Any of the positive things Jon could do to resolve this farce would result in him giving back. That's something he cleary enjoys doing and likes to tell other people to do, so be a man of your word Jon and don't be a hypocrite.

It just shows he doesn't care about the prices and the fans.
There are artists who care and take action on the prices.
Really? Who exactly?

I went to see Paul Weller at the O2 Arena in June, and was right near the front. He played a great gig. And the tickets were round about £25 each. And that was only for one night, not however many Bon Jovi are playing now. And the support act were top. Value for money! Oasis were far more reasonable as well, although they did push it ever so slightly. I've heard Bruce Springsteen personally makes sure that his ticket prices are affordable.

It's true that lots of other big artists charge extortionate prices for their shows. Paul McCartney's ticket prices for his upcoming tour disgusted me. The Stones are never a bargain. But that doesn't make it any better.

Yes Bruce does care for his fans
I saw him MSG on the weekend and top tkt was $101
He dont believe in Fan club or VIP seats
I have even seen important people in the venue just at regular seats
He once said he wants a guy even working on minimum wage to afford his tkts
and He was amd when TM last year was directing people to ticketsnow web site
So there are artists who do care about tkt prices

Well, you may have your own personal reasons for not liking the guy. I just remember Saturday morning TV as a kid with he and Sarah Green on 'Going Live' (which later became 'Live and Kicking' fronted by Jamie Theakston and Zoe Ball).

Oh, and the 'Broom Cupboard' with Gordon the Gopher! Legend!

Ah, the good ol' days!
