Oh, and the 'Broom Cupboard' with Gordon the Gopher! Legend!

Ah, the good ol' days!
Yep, I used to watch him as a kid too.

He just comes over as way too cheesy and fake these days. He needs Gordon to come back and level him up.

I agree. We need to bring back Gordon.

I think Philip Schofield is a pretty good presenter although it's been a good few years since I've watched anything that he's been in. The last programme I remember seeing him on was probably Talking Telephone Numbers from the mid-late 90s and what a pile of crap that programme was!

My dad used to work as a radio presenter himself and said that Schofield was probably one of the nicest blokes in the business that he had the opportunity to meet.

Ahaha

I completely forgot about that programme! jesus that was a wierd ol' show wasn't it. That was on around the time of YouBet and Strike it lucky

Well if your dad actually knew the guy and said he was nice than he must be, I'm probably just being overly cynical in my old age.

Yeah, this is just Jon being very dishonest. Mr CEO doesn't know the prices, eh? Sure.
He knows. Just watch the documentary and the input he had into the Central Park gig. He knew everything that was going on with that,so he would for the O2.
Jon has always said that he lies anyway.

I always preferred Ed the Duck to Gordon the Gopher.

Very weird and I can't believe that it made up a good part of our Saturday night TV. I vaguely recall a programme called 'YouBet' but can't for the life of me remember what it was about or who hosted it. 'Strike It Lucky' was a favourite though. I also loved 'The Brian Conley Show,' 'Noel's House Party' and 'You've Been Framed' when Jeremy Beadle hosted it.

They all kick the crap out of 'The X Factor' and 'Strictly Come Dancing'!!

My dad only met him a couple of times so he didn't really know him but he said he seemed a nice enough guy after the few times they had crossed paths.

His opening line in that interview was, "I lied!"

How ironic a claim that turned out to be a few minutes later.

It was some kind of show where contestants have to complete a challenge, if they won the presenter had to do a forfeit. It starred the ever creepy Matthew Kelly..

Oh that one! The one where they had random things like, a family member had a week to learn the names of 50 songs plus the performing artist just by listening to the first second of the track.

That was pish wasn't it!

'Gladiators' rocked!.... mmmmmm, Jet.....

Andi, I never liked Ed The Duck and Andy Peters quite as much as Schofield/Gordon the Gopher.
