Jon's guitar auction

Acoustic guitars are bulky. I played one way back in school and I hated it. Very uncomfortable. It looks nice, though, but I wish he'd play something else. I am sure some songs he could drop the acoustic and pick up an electric or something.

As for Bruce...not a fan so I don't listen to his songs and wouldn't have a clue what kind of guitarist he is.

For songs like Blood on Blood, I'll Be There For You, Wanted, Lost Highway and Saturday Night, an acoustic guitar is very necessary for the sound of the songs. A clean Electric just doesn't match the real, full sound of an acoustic guitar.

Oh yeah, sure. Of course it depends on what kind of songs you are playing. But I'd love to see Jon put down the acoustic for once and pick up an electric. Even if he only plays a few notes it'd be something. I've never seen him play anything but that acoustic - even in the video clips!

Thanks Iceman. I'll have to check some of those out. I'm not really a video person - but if those are live videos, I meant videos as in for clips they have released. I'd love to see him pick up an electric and play that instead.

He's gone electric on quite a few videos.

(even if he does use the acoustic cover up)

The acoustic is absolutely necessary for those songs Erik listed, and many more. I am glad that he picked up the electric on Just Older now (a song that I think sounds better like that). Also, I think he should think about the electric on Blood on Blood. Check the performance from Shepherd's Bush 2002. It sounds great.
