Have you been to the Robin Hood Restaurant? He and his family do volunteer and are heavily involved in the operation of the restaurant.

The more you rattle on about things you don't know about the more ignorant you appear.

Jon maintains a public profile for his music, his charity and his causes; otherwise, he stays out of the public eye. That is why fans go through such "withdrawal" when he is between new releases or tours. There are valid reasons why he wants to at times be a private family man and keep his professional life separate.

With regard to his voice, Jon has gone on record about having vocal coaching, doing vocal exercises, etc. These comments/interviews are not hard to find on the internet. I think he did serious damage to his voice early on--the kind of damage that is hard to repair... and his style of singing is hard on the voice. A history of smoking obviously will take its toll. "Serious" singers can go to great lengths to protect their singing voice: not talking on the day of concerts, not giving back-to-back concerts, not drinking wine or eating certain foods. Does this sound like Jon? Not hardly. Changes in the set list are not based on mood but on how he feels vocally.

I see this thing as a typical miserable Jovi diehard viewpoint - Jon said one thing, so because we're smart fans, that means the truth is exactly the opposite. I'm sure that if it was Tico who said in an interview that he had quit smoking, nobody would question if it's true or false. But because it's Jon, that means double standarts. So there was one thing. Another thing is the image thing. Why would Jon lie that he quit smoking (and even admiting that he did it for the wrong reasons)? If he thinks that smoking has a negative effect on his image why would he show himself with a cigarette in his mouth on WWWB documentary MULTIPLE TIMES? I don't see that making too much sense.
IF you had a movie about jon since he said he quit smoking maybe then we could see ....

I merely say I dont beleive everything jon sells about him..

because jon sells about HIM while tico if he sells he would sells about the band ...
Jon is focused on HIS PERSONA
Jon changes what he says like he breathes ... it is naive generally said to think he said it so it's true .. from jon from tico from anyone public .... he said it so he wants you think it's true ... this is the proper of anyone PUBLIC to see themselves as public figures ....

I don't say he has not quit smoking I just say I dont believe everything he says .. and I dont believe one second he quit for insurances reasons

Okay, so lets clear this up: HAS he quit smoking or not?

I hope he has, but it looks like he might be lying, judging by the comments here. So whats the truth? Anyone know?

No I have not been there but am local and do volunteer work in the area, for some of the same organizations as the Bongiovi's. Some of these organizations I have been involved with since College in the mid '80's. I know people who do volunteer at the Soul Kitchen and the family does work there and so has Jon when he is off from touring.

The Soul Kitchen is not just for those who can't afford a meal but for those who can well afford it and are able to pay for people who can't afford it. I have seen him enough around town, I wouldn't need to go to the kitchen to see Jon.

I was mistaken you appear ignorant...you just are.
