It's all him and his personal coach, it's really paying off.

I was at this show, Alpine Valley, Wisconsin and it was one of my favorites of the tour because the atmosphere was just electric Yes, Jon's voice is shot, they had played Chicago the night before. In all honesty, he didn't have to do this song. This was the "chosen" song for the encore. A poll was put up on bonjovi.com and the fans picked the song for the encore and These Days was chosen.

Please correct me, I don't know much about singing techniques but it seems to me that he is singing in a different way. Not sure how to put it, but he seems to be hitting the notes in a different way as he did before. Seems different to me.

WOW.

I think it's obvious that he's breathing right--he isn't slipping into nasal sounding singing. He's singing from his diaphram throughout. It might help that he's not running around so much. He sounded great in Atlanta, but he didn't do this song, so I had no idea he sounded THIS great! LOL

I thought so too (though Tinley isn't great for sound, lol) but I thought Alpine add that added something, I really liked that show.

I think he took the time went back to his vocal coach, and figured out his new vocal range and worked his voice back into shape, I also think he's been pretty careful this tour about how much he's drinking/smoking, I suspect they aren't spending as much time in the bar with Richie being sober. All the guys seem healthier this tour, no one looks as near run down as they usually do at this point in a tour.

I also think Deb is right, with all the work I think Jon is confident in his voice again, he's not having to concentrate so hard trying to get the notes, he's more relaxed and having a much better time.

fair enough if the song was chosen by the fans and it's great the band gave it a shot but it does sound awful , still the thoughts there

They played all the songs from the poll anyway and they never showed which song won if I remember correctly. The encore was broadcasted live on bonjovi.com and Jon sounded awful on all four songs.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
