Changing anything nearly 6 months after selling tickets and giving fans less than 3 months notice is terrible!

The venue and the tour must have been planned well in advance by the promoters and JBJ/Band management.

It's not like they can turn around to the punters who have shelled out a lot of extra cash on the Runaway Tour to shell out a bit more because they made a mistake and so you need to pay for more time days in the hotel??

So to expect it of everybody else is unacceptable. End of.

Nobody deserves a pat on the back or to feel pleased/unphased that it has happened.

Fortunately I live here and I don't have to reschedule anything but ..... what a clusterfcuk. They just didn't used to do this stuff - they were reliable.

It's got to be ticket sales. I've been going back and forth on going to one of these shows, so I've been checking ticketmaster often and they have tickets left at EVERY level, let alone the flood of them on the secondary market.

so i fly the whole way to New Jersey to watch them, having always promised myself to see them there, book the 25th as i thought last show of the tour surely will be full. Bad enough Richie is unlikely to be there but now they move the 24th one!! **** Bonjovi. I have had it with them. If they move the 25th too then sod them even more. Plan a big sign for Slane as Jon wont be able to control them as much as he can in arenas.

Well I'm flying from the UK to New Jersey mainly for this gig and luckily i'm flying back out Sunday evening so the day change doesn't affect me too much. To say I'm relieved is an understatement, but for people who will have booked an expensive holiday and will miss the gig because of this change is just horrendous. Take the over-inflated ticket prices & merchandise and add in this general disregard for fans welfare and you have a very angry fanbase. I genuinely believe the band will struggle to recover from this fiasco.

My 5 show Jovi tour this summer was meant to help me get through a tough time with the band there to distract me. Now Richie won't be there and I'm flying back from NYC on the night of the rearranged gig and I'm already stressing about the 25th show too.

£285gbp for a pit only ticket that I can't use and cannot see how I could sell on as its a Fan Club one that needs collecting from the venue. Plus now I'm sweating over what might happen to the £290gbp VIP GC ticket I have for the 25th. Flights paid for and leave from work all arranged, which I'd say isn't unusual given it's under 3 months to the shows and the tickets went on sale at the end of November.

I find the lack of any official statement still from the Fan Club or Bonjovi.com about the 2 shows totally unacceptable.

15hrs since Ticketmaster announced the change and still nothing from BJ.com, the Fan Club or Sparkart to explain anything or offer solutions!?!

The only contact there has been is "Please come and see JBJ & long term associates when they tour Australia. Details to be announced soon. Pay all the money upfront so we can keep it when you can't make the date we decide 6 months later needs to change because tickets aren't selling like we hoped"

Surely the rescheduling of an event that impacts fans not only buying for that date but also the Runaway Tour being altered too should be a priority? Maybe not once our money is in the bank!?

This made me laugh really hard, especially the bold.

Still nothing from anyone to explain this.

Do you think the management thought tickets would sell like hot cakes and they'd be doing 2 extra shows for the Fri and Sat? Maybe promised the Metlife people a Saturday show in their contract and have since had their fingers burnt and needed to move the Wednesday show to try and at least fulfill this commitment?

I'm not convinced that the change of date has anything to do with Phil X being able to perform on the original date. The power of a big promoter and Bon Jovi behind him would surely mean they would win any battle with smaller venues, etc. I am starting to feel that the bravado of having a high selling tour made Jon think he'd sell out New Meadowlands several times over and they agreed to something more than has been possible. Somebody balls-up and instead of selling Fri and Sat chose to release Wed and Thurs first and now left this mess.
