You want these 4 back to back?
And everyone falls asleep...

Pictures of You isn't a ballad, it's really close to what In These Arms is, so I don't see why anyone would fall sleep. IĄd put Pictures after the ballads, not before. It could have a longer string intro and would be cool to follow it by Born To Be My Baby.

The Fighter would put me to sleep, though. But only that song.

"Pictures Of You" is super cheesy and doesn't have tenth the energy and excitement "In These Arms" delivers.
When I saw the band earlier this year they played BOR, MAM and IBTFY back to back and it was a total energy drainer for a good 15 minutes, so adding"Pictures" to this bunch is way too much.
As much as I love "MAM" it doesn't really work live for some reason ,especially in a large arena not to mention a stadium.

Well, neither of us has seen Pictures of You live to know how it works. Also, the lack of excitement? Both songs have the same vibe to me, obviously ITA is ITA and it's one of their best songs, but this might work just as well, specially if you set it free form the awful production that has on the record.

Also, about the cheesy, I don't get how:

"Something so familiar drawn from this blank page
Every line from my hand takes me back to what I can't erase
No matter how I try, no matter what I do
I'm still painting pictures of you"

It's more cheesy than:

"I'd hold you
I'd need you
I'd get down on my knees for you
And make everything alright
If you were in these arms"

I love both songs, ITA more than Pictures of course, but I don't see any trouble with the second one.

Everyone can have their opinions, though

I don't have tickets to any Jersey show and I have attended at least one show between the old stadium and the new, starting with the 89 show, I'm scared that if I don't go they will play songs like Wild Is The Wind and Hey God. I've heard Miss Fourth Of July and it was a I get it moment. I think we are stuck with songs like LH, I Love This Town and Captain Crash. At this point Jon thinks Dry County is a super rarity in the states. I think Jon could care less about American setlists anymore, I want to be wrong. The rarest song I have ever heard was Only Lonely in Philly in 2010. the shows at MSG in 2011 had These Days which was cool.

I have been to one TD show and I barely remember the setlist, just the shit opening band.

If I could get some 40 dollar cheap seats for Jersey, I would consider going. Otherwise I am sitting out this tour as well. The band always puts on a great show, but I have "been there and done that" way too many times.

Man, These Days in MSG was great, Jon's voice was very good. The only letdown is Richie's guitar which sounds noisy.

That particular show was one of the best, I think it was night 2 at MSG. We sat in a bar close to MSG after the show was over just saying "Holy Shit" did I just hear that? A great setlist came out of nowhere (yes I know it was a fanclub trip) but none of us were expecting it be that good.

We had heard These Days at Giants in 2006 but Jon's voice was shot to hell.

Which is why I say that sometimes, around here in Jersey, we will get some rarities.
