BON JOVI: PRIVATE GIG LAST NITE!
BON JOVI invited their close friends, family and the entire staff of their
record label to a kick off party at New York City's Manhattan Center Grand
Ballroom last night. (Did you see the photo of Jon in today's New York
Daily News?!) The guests ate a little, drank a lot and got to watch BON
JOVI perform a mini-concert exclusively for them and premiering many new
songs off BOUNCE. Check out the set list: YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME IT'S
MY LIFE UNDIVIDED THE DISTANCE EVERYDAY BORN TO BE MY BABY JUST OLDER
LIVIN' ON A PRAYER (acoustic) WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE MISUNDERSTOOD BOUNCE
HOOK ME UP

Cool things to know:
*Jon left the stage during "Born To Be My Baby" to make a pitstop... a fan
(actually, a NJ DJ) lived out his rock star dream and took Jon's place to
perform the song with the band! When Jon finally returned to the stage,
he let his stand-in continue singing and sat on the drum-riser playing
tambourine! *Taking a request from the floor, Jon and David broke into a
Lounge Lizard version of "Runaway" *The guys had a helluva lot of fun!!!

From NY Daily - 23 Aug 2002

In loo of Bon Jovi

Matt Sneed will always remember the night Jon Bon Jovi had to run to the
john.

Bon Jovi and his band were giving an intimate show on Wednesday at the
Hammerstein Ballroom, for 250 friends, family members and Island/Def Jam
label personnel, when the singer suddenly turned to guitarist Richie
Sambora and said, "I really got to pee."

Standing nearby, Sneed, a hard-core fan, offered: "Dude, I'll sing." Bon
Jovi handed him the mike, declaring: "This is our version of 'American
Idol.'"

Following Bon Jovi's instructions, Sneed covered "Born to Be My Baby"
while the veteran rock star slipped to the loo.

Sneed wasn't bad, but let's hope Jon relieves himself before his Times
Square performance on Sept. 5 to launch the NFL season.

The gig for family members and friends was Wednesday.
The taping for VH1 was on Friday....
They did play those songs that were listed above and they totally rocked.
All the new songs are awesome with a touch of hard rock.
Can't wait for the tour!!!
