They're touring for all of November and December in the US. They're touring in Europe and Asia for a month, then they'll be back in the US for another 2 months. Gonna add up to about 90 shows. How is that lazy?

If you lived sonewhere that they toured 10 years ago but refuse to tour again I'm sure you'd understand.
Not that im in that position myself, but look at it from someone else's point of view. It's ok for us to not complain, the UK has been given 5 dates, but for other fans, it really isn't fair. My point is that they can see their families and tour, which is their job, and I think this really isn't a true world tour, which is a shame. Other projects should be put on hold for the time being. BJ have been lucky by making it to the true big-time, true by making great music and working hard, but they should do themselves justice, as there's plenty of other bands who'd die to be in that position, instead of doing a half -arsed job

Because they could do their job a whole lot better. It's just my opinion.

You are suggesting they should tour everywhere because they owe us something. They release albums and we buy them, it doesn't entitle us to feel like we own them or can control them in any way. They tour where they want to, they could do bigger tours but obviously they don't want to.

Perhaps i was a bit extreme to call them half-assed, but I'm looking from another point of view. If fans buy their albums, then perhaps the band do owe them something, by playing a show there.
True, totally agree with you and respect your opinions that they can choose to tour where they like, i just think it's a shame to the other fans, when Bon Jovi has global support.

A rockband should tour. that one of the main things that seperates a rockband from a other artists.

And Bon jovi are always going on about how much fans they have and how loyal they are, soon they won't have that fanbase. They have to tour (big tours) if they want to stay as one of the major rockacts in the world. but perhaps they don't want that... but then they shouldn't keep talking about it!!!

and, danfan, do you consider jovi to do anything wrong??

What's changed? It's their job at the end of the day produce music and to tour it. Refusing to tour places where it does sell (i know the Australian fans have been let down the past tour, and it looks as though Scandinavia will this time) is letting the fan base down in those countries.
True, all of the guys have other projects, but it was the music that gave them the ability to persue other areas, and not to 'thank' the fans by touring places other than the 'must-tour' countries is almost like snubbing what made them what they are.
I don't think anyone realistically believes in another SWW or NJ tour, as it had a negative effect on the band touring throughout the eighties, but like Seb says, what's wrong with touring for a month or two, then taking a month off?
It's easily achievable, but it probably boils down to monitary gain or laziness, that i think is a shame for fans of the other countries.

The change might be that they finally realize whats importent in life..be with their kids moore and watch them grow up. And their kids are old enogh now to understand if their dads are home or away a lot. Would`nt you stayed moore at home if your kids ask you to?? I would.

Good point, and i agree with you, but they can tour extensively and take regular breaks at home, like Supersonic said earlier on.
Nobody expects a mammoth 14 month 200plus show slog again, but a true world tour, appreciating all of their fans, which I think is possible.

maybe its jon`s voice, maybe mention here before? Can his voice do a long tour, even with breaks its hard to sing almost everynight.

But anyway will will never know the reason why? I do think that they hate touring and they coldnt care less about a longer tour. It seems like the goal is setteled, with that 100 000 000,- mark
