we are obviously good journalists. I remember at the time Laura was telling me that she and Taija were laughing so much reading it and nearly fell off their chairs... but maybe she just said that because she was my girlfriend (even though not at time)

I read the review at the time, and I almost fell off a chair laughing... And I did tell you guys that I liked the review, I just didn't post it on the board for some reason! And you did get replies here too!

I'm definitely in the 2005 rock bus, and I'm dragging along my best friends, the blonde giggler, the long-haired rocker and the nicest person in the world who deserves to see more than one show on the next tour!

We even forgot about that guy trying to sell us herbal products which probably increase the size of genetalia! Or various other nutters...

Erm a long time! About 13 hours or so in total... since i also had to go 2 hours north of where i needed to go and then 2 hours south back again!

I had a sign on my room door for over 1 week saying "do not disturb" which apparently annoyed the college

Maybe because you were talking to Tom on msn while I was reading the review (you had read it already, maybe in Zurich, I don't know) and we could comment to him directly. We were in Nice and that's probably another reason we didn't reply because this was already "an old show" after Zurich and Munich. Like our Bremen review was so late because we only posted it after Oostende show.

OMG, I still almost fell off my chair laughing!!!

Mike and Tom took the sensible option, which involved a half hour walk in the rain to find some more local cuisine to rival that of Pizza Hut… which lead them to Iris’ Café, where everybody knows your name and drinks Stella at 9 in the morning. Taija and Laura thought it would be more fun to sit in the rain trying to set fire to their hair with a lighter.

So there’s Tom, Laura, Taija and Mike waiting in Ostend Belgium for fan club wristbands or else Yngwie wouldn’t get in the fan club pit that night… J
Yngwie, LOL!!!! Took me a while to remember what was this about!

Arrid hit the stage at about 7pm (?) as Tom, Laura and Taija hit the floor… joining Mike, after an incessant choir of “hih” from the two members of the front row.
I still feel sorry for that poor guy!!!

The sound of the band was a little muddy (as was the ground below our feet)

I forgot a lot of that happened until you quoted it then It was a funny time actually. In some ways everything that could go wrong went wrong, and in others things that could go right went right! I enjoyed that a lot and I still can't believe I got home without passing out and fainting (though just barely).

I should actually show you the 2 or 3 pictures I have of you and Taija from that day - it brought back memories: standing in the rain with your groundsheet as an umbrella.

I remember waking up and saying "good morning", thinking it really didn't FEEL like a good morning As good as the show was I think in some ways the queuing was one of the best parts of it. Other random memories... a gas station you went to to get some stale bread for breakfast, Laura telling me to share the groundsheet and me being so shy that I slept at the opposite end after much convincing

Sony Ericson - I remember you were explaining to me and also saying how I thought you two should have your own tv programme... "I'd watch it." The "weapon", expensive chips... more wine gums disappeared and of course going home ill and leaving all my food (not much admiitedly, read: wine gums) and aspirin with you to take to Zurich.

"We'll get you back in one piece, two at most"

Being asked "sing for me" during Arrid and being lost for words completely. And perhaps the one with the longest-term effects:

to Taija: "would you like a wine gum?"

One of those questions you learn you shouldn't have asked, numerous kgs later

Poor you!!! I was wondering why you wouldn't sit down on the groundsheet, and when you got up you always sat on the ground again... Well at least you aren't shy about that anymore...

It's great to hear all the things from that day !!!

For me personally ... I wasn't very long with you all (I guess it will be different on next tour, or so I hope !!!!!!?!!!!!!!!) ...
And we didn't had that many quotes for ourselves ... Much rain, lightening and not much people to talk too are the things I remember the most of the waiting ... Of course, the meeting with all of you was one of the highlights for sure.

I still remember when Jon started talking about IDFY ... I saw your banner before the show and he started talking about ' a song from the slippery-album, haven't played it in 6 years, ... ' And I was already screaming like : ow my god, ow my god, ow my god ... it's for them, it's for them ...... I went nuts hahah
