Yeah, I bet he walked into the office of the record company president and said..... "please mr, sir, can we go to play to our loving fans it Australia, I've promised them, and can we, can we can we can we????"
What being a rock star is all about is making rash desisions, and then expecting everybody else to break their back making them happen.... Jon says I want a runway around the stadium... they make it happen..... Eddie Van Halen says he wan'ts a jar full of red M&M's every night, they make it happen. That's what rock and roll is about, and if Jon is being dictated from a record company, then they should just pack the whole thing in right now cos it just ain't rock and roll anymore!

Maybe it doesn't agree, but if Jon wanted it, if Jon insisted on it, it would happen. I"m guessing they tell the band it's too difficult to do, it'll cost too much, and they can't do it. If the band turn around and say, "**** you, we're playing to our fans in Australia" then they'll be doing it.

Jon isn't an 18 year old with no money, and no record deal anymore... He's the artist, it's for them to make him happy, not the other way around![/quote]

Agreed.... but that hasn't stopped every other major act coming out here!
Pearl Jam (10 shows), Bryan Adams (6 or 7 shows), Red Hot Chili Peppers (5 shows), KISS (one BIG show!!), Bruce Springsteen (3 shows), Live is coming and Creed, AC/DC, and KISS came when the dollar was even LOWER than it is now........so what of it?

The thing that shits me is that Jon almost poked fun at a few of these acts (Bruce included) for making a tour here without 'doing the business first' (promoting it is what he meant)......hey Jon, at least they came, dude!

I love Bon Jovi, love them. That's why I get so pissed off when we get stuffed around like this and I'll bet there are people twice the fans or more that I am, imagine how they must feel!

I'd have thought what's even worse about not even playing say 2 dates down under, is that there isn't really anywhere you can get to easily is there? If you live in somewhere like Perth, it's still a bloody long way to get to America..... If we were missed out in England, then I could fairly easily get to Germany, or France, or Italy, or Spain.... but you're a little cut off down there! Bon Jovi should be going, deffinately!

To make up for it though, go and see Yes in Sept
