It would of been different if Richies 'mood' had effected his playing and the show but it clearly didnt. Give them ALL a break for christs sake.

I'm not dictating anything!! It might not have effected his playing, but it effected how I perceived it! I'm sorry, but I loved the concert (Dusseldorf that is) mainly because the rest of the band were clearly having a great time, I didn't feel Richie was and yes, that can affect a concert - the same way if Jon is in a bad mood.

And let's face it, if it was Jon up there being a moody git - well, the slating would be long and endless, but god forbid anyone say that Richie was in a bad mood...

My point wasn't that Richie letting it show a bit that he's in pain was bad. Frankly, Bon Jovi is the only band I know that would keep their tour shcedule when their guitarist has a broken shoulder.

I have actually been impressed with Richies tenacity, his commitment to doing everything he can to be able to play as well as possible etc. It shows what a stand up guy he is, and how much he cares about the band, the fans, and the record.

That said, my point was about Martins statement that somehow Richie is being honest by letting his pain show, (which he is and that's very cool), but on the other hand Jon is being fake because he's upbeat, happy and enjoying himself. I'm just not sure what's wrong with that or how it is fake???

Richies life does suck at the moment, the fact that he's keeping it together as well as he is is a huge "tell" about the character of the man, but I think it's not fair to label Jon a "fake" because he's apparently at the moment, healthy, happily and successfully married, and enjoying the hell out of performing and promoting a successful record. I just don't get it.

Thanks for the reviews.

I guess along that Jon being fake thing, what does he supposedly need to do to NOT be fake? Glad he still sounded good, that's what is important to me.

you're absolutely right - but i don't see any of your points contradicting with mine.

i was NOT dissappointed by the show in any case, altough i know what the setlist is gonna look like - i absolutely loved it, simply because it was a great show.

Glad it was a good show, but how was These Days??? Did they do it well?
awesome! martin sayd dave ****ed up the intro, but i dont think so, cant exactly tell because i was screaming hearing the first notes of the song...
in the end jons voice was strong but he might have missed some notes, but who the **** cares..
damn i wish the audience reaction had been more enthuisastic... damn philistines!

and about the whole richie & showing your feelings thing:

i'd rather have a sad richie who smilies like only 2-3 times during the whole show, but gives everything from the bottom of his heart in a performance of I'll Be There For You, adds an extended solo cause he just feels like it, than a I'm-the-happiest-guy-in-the-world-actor-like richie.

music IS about feelings! when i'm down i'm down, but i might write one of the best songs ever, when i'm happy and upbeat, i'd probably write "Everyday"... you get what i'm sayin...

like i said: i was right in front of richie, and he smiled at the audience in front of him and those on stage almost all the time.

Hello!

I was in Linz. I think it was good.

I agree, that internet is sucks, because you know all setlists but...

every bands, singers, singerins play their hits, because at the concerts there are really few die hard fans and the most of the crowd would like to hear the hits. If you can't accept that won't go to any concerts.

About the concert: I was a little bit disappointed, that DC wasn't appear (especially it was on the original setlist), but...

Joey - They did it very well, it was much better, than the album version.
Born to be my baby - They did it like in Amsterdam last year, it is ... good.
Someday - I don't remember exactly, but they changed it a little bit, and it sounded very cool.

but the best was I'll be there for you. It was really-really long, the crowd was fantastic, and Richie played out everything from that song.

Richie was in very bad mood, but he smiled 2-3 times, and I'll be there for you was one of the best live performance what i have seen ever.
