Default Live-Covers

Hey out there!

Anyone who doesn't know me in here:
I'm the one who often designs covers for the LIVE-Recordings of BJ Shows...

Now I noticed, that some people offer the CDs with my Cover on ebay for a big amount! Someone sold the osaka show for 60 EUR!

I wanted to make clear, that all covers, designed by me, are only for private use! No commercial use!
The covers are under my copyright and I do not permit to use the covers for illegal sales!
If anyone dares to sell CDs with my covers I'm probably gonna indicate him or her!

sorry, but I don't want to earn money with BJ Recordings and if other like to earn money with the name of BJ, they shall do, but not with my covers and my name. The name "spenic" shall not stand in any connection with illegal BJ Sales!

opinios?

thank you...

I'm absolutly with you. I think it is more than annoying that someone tries to make money that otheres shared for free.

By the way, do you make a cover for Yokohama or aren't you in the mood for this anymore after what happened?

IMO you are absolutely right!
people shouldn't do that,
it's very annoying and it spoils it for the real fans.
still, i hope we will get to see some more of your covers, they are brilliant

I'm just designing the yokohama one... but the images are too small! If anyone of you got high resolution photoes, perhaps also selfmade ones of yokohama, please send them to me!

you don't understand the important meaning of my posting!

I'm very proud of being known as a good designer and I'm at least proud of the fact that other people use my covers and tell me how good they are.
but selling live-recordings is illegal. and so, my name and my design is used for illegal bargains. My name shall not stand in any connection with illegal actions.

I have no problem with people copying them giving the CDs as a present to other people and use my cover, but as soon as it gets illegal, I'm against my name on the CDs...

I know how you feel. Around 2000 I was designing a lot of the bootleg covers that you have at the moment...

anyway I went to a CD fair and most of you probably know the prices they charge, but they were selling wembley 2nd night with my artwork that i designed for £35

I also noticed them selling one that I put onto CD from cassette years ago: munich '88 i think for £20...

i hate ebay too - people sell flyers on there for £3 + £1 P&P - and these are the same flyers i can walk to the apollo right now and pick up about 40 of... it really pisses me off

you have a right to be angry - especially considering, while we're not doing it for the money it's dam annoying to know that our work is being used by others to make more in one sale! than we would in a year just copying for minimal costs etc, or for friends...

I don't agree with official music being shared - but i think everyone has a right to live music if it exists - the artists should release it if they want money for it and we'd all gladly pay to have a recording 20x as good quality.
