Live Earth in Munbai

You can't compare 9-11 to the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
If in New York the attacks were in several big hotels as well as in other parts of the city and the attackers were hiding and fighting for days and you could not be sure that all attackers were caught and where they did come from and if there is more attacks to come - do you really think a big concert in a stadium in NYC would have been taking place?
I don't think so.
This was more like civil war not a single terrorist attack. And no one knows what will happen next with these big tensions between India and Pakistan right now?
The organisators could easily ensure security for the artists. But they can't for the thousands of fans and visitors.

It's the only option to cancel this event.

By the way they organisators of Live Earth were already in Mumbai and they had to evacuate the whole staff that was already building up this event.
Do you really want them to risk their life again for some nice music?

The whole purpose of Live Earth does is talk about global warming, florescent lights, carpooling, ect. To talk about that a week after a terrorist attack would be disrespectful to the people who lost their lives. So the show had to be rescheduled.

Well that's fair enough but what you said was which I found a bit crass, hence why I asked if it was meant to be funny.

And I think an "altered message", had the show gone ahead, would have been one of peace not vengeance.
