Radio and Saturday have no energy after he decided to change the melodies. Also Santa fe sounded crappy in London cause he sang it partly in lower octave. Also i dont understand why he is singing the chorus of Sleep when im dead lower than on the album. He's been doing that for ages though...

But i still think they should tune some songs lower. I think These Days, Prayer, Dry county and Keep the faith would not suffer too much from the process. But with Always, I believe and Hey god he would have a problem cause the verses are already pretty low.

He has problems even with Amen. I dont know it the chorus is autotuned on the record. Surely sounds like it.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is, most of it is these days. Hell, I even use pitch correction on my own band's stuff, which doesn't even run on the radio

With the rest, I agree mostly. Though please don't change the key of prayer, it's been played so many times and everyone knows it so well that one would definitely notice I think...

I'm almost done watching this show and I have to say, I'm enjoying it. Sure Jon's voice sounds tired and he's off key on a few moments but it's a really good gig. Phil's tone is kick ass!! He doesn't have as much overdrive as Richie but the tone comes out so pure and rootsy (If only they would put him a bit higher in the mix, but I'm sure it's different at the actual show). He especially gets some amazing sounds out of those Tele's and Strats he has, which aren't even Fender lol. So cool to know some professionals still like to keep their rig simple.....

Right. Is it just me or has Jon changed the tone of his voice a bit in Brisbane? I appreciate he is struggling, but he sounds less nasally and a bit "higher" in his tone. He's singing from high in his diaphragm. Anyone else think this?

Yeah I can hear it. While I commend him for trying to sing like he could twenty years ago, it just confirms that a, the poor sod can't sing anymore and b, if he's to carry on he needs vocal lessons and to look after his voice better.

I definitely hear it, and I think he should sing like that all the time. The notes he gets sound pretty damn good.

The third and fourth chorus is amazing. I get chills listening to them. Great effort from Jon. But it is still shocking how fast his voice has gotten worse. Just watched the Madison Square Garden show from Lost Highway tour and Always sounded like it was the year 95 compared to how he is singing it now days.
