Couldn't agree more, Bon jovi plays most of songs half step down (I don't remember how musicians call the name of it in English), so the guy CAN'T sing right now the songs the way they are, why not playing in a way he CAN sing? So I agree with you, the songs will sound different but I'm not seeing Jon retiring any time soon.

Well, he said "Last show for long time" before Wanted.

Who knows when will they be back.. If they come back, it'll probably be around 2017 I think..

About his vocals, his voice is terrible. So flat and can't hit any higher notes, so I don't think lowering the key would help..
The thing I don't understand is, how can Steven Tyler still sing those high pitch songs and hit the high keys, and he is older than Jon..

Maybe he should do a throat surgery or something like that, or at least see singing teacher..

I'm not a singer but I don't think it's simply a case of "as you get older you'll just sound more and more shit so deal with it". But taking care of your voice is an ongoing thing and I don't think Jon has done that throughout his career.

If he dropped it enough, it'll help a lot. His voice is still fine if he doesn't go too high...but he's going to have to drop the key of everything a third or more just to hit the notes. I'm not sure that's the best option, though, because it's going to drop the energy too.

Ideally he would be better of re-arranging the songs totally to suit his voice now. This Left Feels Right wasn't that popular, though.

This has to happen, full stop. If he keeps singing like he did thirty years ago he's going to die on stage.

Ouch - Prayer was a struggle. I actually feel for him trying to hit those notes, almost sounds painful!
