Will be weird if they leave london out....especially when considering how much money they could make from doing a show (or 2) in the capital city.

That's why they won't leave it out.

If all the other gigs in UK are selling badly (dont know that they are) then maybe they wont do a London show.

Must be hard to work out what sells out or not nowdays as there's so many tickets on the black market or ticket sellers “partner” sites.(Same thing really)

If they sell 'badly', they'll just do the one show at a large venue like Hyde Park. If they sell quickly and sell well, they'll announce multiple nights. It seems fairly logical to arrange it that way after the debacle of the last O2 run where free upgrades and £5 tickets were being handed out like sweets.

Looking on various sites ticket sales appear to be generally good considering it is only November, will still b a whole lot of tickets bought for Xmas presents and also we still have the album to be released along with a gd few promotional appearances at the same time which will be used at a massive final ticket push exercise I am sure!

I have a prediction for the possible London gig.

My prediction is that they will open/reopen the Olympic stadium. I believe the reason it's not been announced is the fact that Jon wants to make sure he doesn't end up with announcing it as its going to be big news and it won't be ready. We all remember the reopening if the new Wembley Stadium.

I have no news or insider knowledge. But I think it is definitely a plausible option. It is strange that nothing has been announced. And wasn't he in London going to announce big news on BBC Radio 2 on that Friday morning but flew home due to hurricane sandy?

Be interesting to see if a London gig is announced. And if it is the Olympic stadium that would be brilliant.

Apart from the new wembley and emirates stadium (Arsenal Football Ground) They have played all the other venues several times.

What do you think? Could it be the Olympic stadium or am I hoping for too much?

Its the only option left for a "very special" London date. Emirates would be underwhelming, O2 been there done that, Hyde Park has lost its shine as a venue.

The press has gone quiet recently regarding the use of the Olympic Stadium. I find it hard to believe they would let such a great venue sit there doing nothing for too long however my money is still on Hyde Park, primarily because Jon seems to love it.

No chance, they've got way too much work to do it. There was an article on the BBC website yesterday saying that it might not reopen until 2016.

It's likely that the delay in the London date announcement is connected with them being announced for Isle of White festival... It is not rare for festivals to make agreements with headlining bands saying what performances can and can't be announced before the festivals initial sales date. And as IOW is very much so ideal for Londoners to travel to and from this would make Sence...

This is my new theory anyway!
