The stage looks pretty cool but the tree house platforms look awful. How do they fit in with the environment? Someone's just thrown some twigs and bushes over a massive carboard box!
Still, if it enables them to charge obscene amounts for a private space, what do AEG care?

I very much doubt they would be playing Wireless... not at all the right event for them to play nor the right crowd... It's a festival for RnB & Dance acts like Jesse J, Example, Rizzle Kicks, Pitbull and Drake etc...

Watch this space

It's a festival which sells purely day tickets. Meaning whoever headlines brings their own crowds...

I don't get why everyone wants a London gig so badly? They are playing all over the UK and are in Birmingham - 60mins on the train from Euston. London is not the be all and end all. It ain't the centre of the universe. We are very lucky in the UK to have the best band in the world playing multiple venues on our tiny shores. Remember the O2 residency....20 something gigs EXCLUSIVELY in London. The big smoke can do without for a change. People in Europe have to fly to their nearest BJ show. I'm sure southerners can travel a couple of hours

Although I don't really think people will think too highly of Birmingham I reckon it's because of the Wembley 1995 DVD. Because of that show, everyone seems to think that London gets the best show of the tour, which has never been true, apart from maybe London 2011. Wembley 2000 wasn't that special, Milton Keynes 2001 wasn't that special, Hyde Park 2003 was 'just long" but really not that great, and the list goes on.

If you're doing London simply because you think it'll be a gret show you might as well go see both Manchester and Birmingham and buy 2 cheaper tickets as opposed to going to see the band play at a festival at which they're given a restricted time slot, especially considering it's Hyde Park we're talking about. I've travelled to London for Bon Jovi and Twickenham was one giant disappointment. After seeing 3 rather mediocre shows in London I've decided it's no longer worth taking my chances, and it's a safer bet to go see Manchester and Birmingham instead.

What I don't get is the speculation over what venue. It should be pretty clear they're headlining Wireless, something someone on here (Bounce7800?) posted here over a month ago. Yet there's still people saying "I think it's Twickenham, it can't be Hyde Park because there's a festival there, or thinking they might play the O2 Arena". It's as if they just refuse to believe they'll be headlining a festival as the last date of the European tour and would rather claim to know better simply because of their preferences.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

You'll be right about Birmingham Seb. It's a dump. It's my hometown and they're playing my football team's ground, so for me that's a must.

I bet previous London gigs (bar 2011) was probably on par with other UK legs, just that given high expectation, as you said, they were probably underwhelming. Hyde Park 2003 was pretty special though - minus the dreadful sound quality.

I'll be doing Manchester and Birmingham if I can afford it and don't have anyone else I'd like to see somewhere in Europe. Right now it's not exactly on top of my list, but I'd still prefer it over any London show.

Even when comparing London to anything else of a specific tour it's never the best show of the tour, like Wembley 1995 wasn't the best show of the 1995 European tour. In fact it's rarely in the top 5. Germany, Holland and Austria always get better performances.

Hyde Park was special for the atmosphere, I've yet to be in a field anywhere where an entire audience is just so laid back. The show was quite dreadful though with Jon's hayfever and the entire band sounding tired. I remember talking to fans who'd done all shows in the U.K. and they said that from a performance level Wolverhampton was the best show of the U.K. tour.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
