I've said this all along.
They were denied being first band to play new Wembley so this will make up for it.
I'd say this is 100% where they will play.

Not a cats hell in chance. Bon Jovi could barely fill half that stadium. Given how much it cost to built, Newham council would ask for quite a big wedge which Bon Jovi would not be able to pay because quite frankly they'd struggle to get 40,000 in there. Why do you think they've gone to smaller football stadiums like Villa Park, Stadium Of Light, Cardiff (not the millennium stadium). Do you really think they'd fill the Olympic Stadium?

Don't get me wrong. I'd love them to be able to fill it. But on their own they couldn't do it. Maybe as part of some festival

Well if it's not this then it will be Hyde Park which must be a similar capacity - 60,000-80,000?

Of course they could, just not in the current climate - add onto this the over saturation of things Bon Jovi (huge number of London shows this past decade with the 6 album tours plus the 02 residency), and the fact that there's the Isle Of Wight festival... the interest, hype and demand isn't what it used to be. I havn't even bought any tour tickets yet ffs.

Capacity wise and not including the factors stated above, of course they could play it. They're playing Slane this summer, that's a bigger gig, as will several other dates be.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

There's what, 8 million people in London?

They can shift about 50,000 tickets in Glasgow and there's not even 8 million in the whole of the country....

Would it be a full on sell out? I doubt it but they wouldn't need to sell it out to make a wedge anyway.

Right just asked my mate who is very high up in Universal Music about this and he said this....

Apparently all the Hyde Park gigs are being moved there (Olympic Stadium), but no-one here knows the specifics about Jovi yet.
I reckon it will there.

I have also said the same for the past few months.

Same reasons as above.

Fingers crossed it will be Bon Jovi that's announced.

There is at least one event being held at Hyde Park as AEG are doing a signup for info for that much like the Jovi date:

http://www.hydeparkevent.com/

As far as the Olympic Stadium goes, I think they might have started removing the retractable upper tier seating (or they were at least going to) so being too large a capacity will not be a concern as they could easily just sell tickets based on the lower tier and standing.

It would be great to happen and would be a really special gig in amongst a good few special gigs on this tour, and dont underestimate how many casuals would go to this gig because of its location, and BJ would have enough hits to convince them to turn up.

I still expect them to be at Hyde Park, probably the first day of a festival resembling HRC but under a different name (Absolute perhaps?) but it's good seeing the Olympic Stadium coming down the rails as an outside bet.
