I actually prefer We Got It Going on over Something To Believe In, but that's because I hate the latter.
I still prefer Something For The Pain over anything in Lost Highway except I Love This Town. Jon should bring this legendary song from These Days back!
Sure..SFTP is a legendary TD song *lol*

That is a great deal of the appeal!

Just to address me as if i were 5.

Seriously, don't you think I'd try a little harder if i wanted to make a personal insult rather than attack the merits of his position?

Nowhere did I say his opinion doesn't matter, but the idea that all opinions hold equal merit is patently false.

Sounds to me like a case of the Mondays : )

By saying "Nothing special" I meant it as "in every setlist since the song was written" more or less. Maybe I should say "staple" instead. I have nothing against those songs, and like all of them, but in a setlist they aren't anything out of the ordinary.

And Seb, thanks for once again making yourself look like a complete tool and giving me a good laugh.

And I lack credibility? What, do I need to be certified or something in Bon Jovi songs? What kind of nonsense is that? I actually really enjoy all of those TD that I said don't work well live on TD itself, but they just don't work that well live. Fact: We Got it Going On gets the crowd moving more than Lie to Me, Love Song, Something for the Pain, My Guitar, Damned, Letting You Go, Something to Believe In. Does that make it a better song? Of course not. But I'd rather hear it live than most of those songs, simply because it works better.

It is, but I don't really think we're talking about the same comedy value. See:

You were close to saying something that'd actually made sense but worded it wrong. I edited the quote for you. You were so close. So close.

Really, what's the point in posting on a board you only visit for sheer comedy value and a board that you don't like in general? It doesn't make you anything better than born_to_run but indeed only makes you look like a tool. Like you just said yourself. Also, yet again you start insulting me by the way while I haven't called you any names. Why do that? Finding it hard to actually come up with something that'd make sense?

Those are just 2 reasons are mostly why you lack credibility.

And that's the difference between you and a lot of us. Most of us here would rather hear better songs instead of songs that get a crowd going.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

No, but to say a song doesn't work live, you actually need to have seen it performed, preferably at an age when you are capable of forming an adult opinion.

And anyone who can say "meh" to Never Say Goodbye.....

That's not true. You can hear it on bootlegs if a song worked or not. Maybe you can't, but a lot of people can.

Obviously I was exaggerating, but that is one of the very few good songs in TD.

The video is legendary though.

We know, Seb. It's ok. We understand.

I go to a show to have fun, not to be a mindless drone listening to every chord and lyric and analyzing every technicality. But being a mindless drone is all you know, so once again it's ok. We really understand.
