Main set vs Encore

What do you all think regarding the main set length of 20 songs vs the 3/4 song encore?

For me I would prefer to see the main set reduce to 18 with a couple of encores of 2 to 3 songs each. This would help the band (Jon) recover and build up the final few songs.

At this stage I don't really think it matters because the sets are so similar every night. For me it make no difference are songs like In These Arms, Bad Medicine, Blood on Blood and WGIGO part of the main set or in encore. If it was year 2010-2011 i would prefer more/longer encores.

What I don't understand is why Jon won't let each Dave, Phil and Tico sing a song. It would be a great addition to the show and Jon could rest his voice every four to five songs.

I have said the same about letting others in the band singing a couple.. I reckon there is a big risk of that making JBJ sound even worse as Phil and Dave can sing!
