Default Mannheim review ....

Mannheim, Germany, June 1st 2003

This review may be a little strange, and not logical but that’s because I got on onstage ticket before Bon Jovi entered the stage and I was really nervous about it.

Cause I didn’t felt to good we didn’t sleep outside, we slept in our hotel, had a shower and around 7 am we arrived at the Mai Markt. There were about 40 people in front of me. I got number 43 and started talking with my friends and met some people from the dry county board. We started chatting and talking. The fanclub info wasn’t really clear so we said down and waited. Then the security man came and said we would be moved to a place for just fanclub. So we did and Carola put us al in line according to the numbers. It seemed to work and there was a line, there were 2 security man hole day long. Only we hadn’t much luck cause we had to sit down in the burning sun the hole day. James arranged us some water and Kevin came earlier then planned to move us so we won’t be any longer in the sun. THANX. We all said down on a tribune in order and it worked. Amazing Carola you were great. In the end I ended up at the first row on the side. But that was still okay.

We said down and waited for live, the security handled out water and had a waterfight. It was cool to have some fun. Everybody seemed happy.
Around 19.15 Live came onstage. There were again great. I really love them as a support act and normally I don’t like support acts. After live the girl next to me invited me to come onstage with her. I got the wristband and was very happy. Thank you so much Marion for taking me with you.

Around 20.30 Bon Jovi entered the stage with Bounce, Jon seemed to be in a pretty good mood, so that means maybe a great show tonight, right now I can say it was a great show. The best until now. As usual the setlist started off the same with You give love a bad name, Wild in the streets, Living on a prayer and everyday followed eachother right after the songs were finished. Jon was bouncing around stage smiling and having a great time. The hole band seems happy and joking around. What was it that made them have such a good time? Was it the sun that still was there when the entered stage, where it the fans that kept on going? Anyway it was magic. Runaway was next and that made the crowed wild. The concert would be amazing. After runaway my nervous were a little bit less and I enjoyed Keep the faith with jungle sounds, I missed them in Gelsenkirchen!
My personal favourite during this tour is Wanted dead or alive, it’s amazing to see the crowed sing a part while Jon and Richie are just standing there and enjoying it.
In these arms, no surprise but a good one on the setlist. The crowed likes it, it’s no ballad but a cool one anyway. It’s my life what should I say.
My bounce favourite The distance, I love it, the lights, the sound. Just great.
The first surprise of the evening came with Bed of roses. Thank god that there were no girls on stage to dance with. I love the song, but the dancing is old and I don’t need to see it anymore.
Undivided was next and it makes you feel so connect to everybody. The power of the song is amazing!
My nervous were coming back cause it should be time to go on stage soon. Oh my god!!
I was standing there and singing along while I wasn’t even knowing what I was singing. Misunderstood was next, it my David song cause he always looks at me during that song. He must have though I went sick or something cause I just stood there. Next was Joey. It’s impressive but I prefer Ride side of wrong. Anyway Davids solo is great.
Jon took over the microphone to Richie for his song…. I’ll be there for you! Nothing special to mention cause my nervous were killing me. The setlist went on with Blaze of glory and Hook me up. During Born to be my baby Marion and I walked towards the place were we should line up to go onstage. Our hearts were really banging like drums. Wow it was almost so far. When Born to be my baby was finished we walked up on the stage. YES I was there. WOW amazing right in front of David. The first notes of I’ll sleep when I’m dead sounded and we went wild. Just clapping and bouncing on stage. Amazing to be there. I can’t describe what it is like. The second song was Raise your hands and it was amazing to see everybody raise there hands. Jon walked our way and we touch him, he took Marions devils horns and walked around with it, gave them back and said THANX honeys. So cool. Too bad we all ready had to leave the stage. The band took a break too so we had time enough to try to get back to our spots and it worked. We were back there when the band came back on stage. Thanks everybody for letting us pass by!!
The first encore started with an amazing surprise…. THESE DAYS. And went on with Just older and Saturday night. I was tired and the band kept on going… with Captain crash, Bad medicine and Shout.
Wow this show blow me away almost 3 hours and an amazing atmosphere. I want Amsterdam to be like this….

On my way…..
