Haha, you wouldn't say that if you saw Coldplay live. They're so talented, and like Bon Jovi also they put so much time into performances. I guess they haven't got as much material to play.

Can't wait to see what else comes out the bag on the rest of the tour.
i would - they are overrated and rubbish

regarded as "saviours of music from commercialism", they are as commercial as any other band

they love themselves too much and aren't particularly talented musicians

submitted by BON JOVI on TOUR
BON JOVI played another amazing show tonite (Sunday, June 1) - this time in MANNHEIM, GERMANY at the MAINMARKPLATZ. The band did a runner (got right off the stage into waiting cars and left the premises) but called this setlist in from the cars:

BOUNCE
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME
WILD IN THE STREETS
LIVIN' ON A PRAYER
EVERYDAY
RUNAWAY
KEEP THE FAITH
WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE
IN THESE ARMS
IT?S MY LIFE
THE DISTANCE
BED OF ROSES
UNDIVIDED
MISUNDERSTOOD
JOEY
I?LL BE THERE FOR YOUR (Richie Sambora on lead vox)
BLAZE OF GLORY
HOOK ME UP
BORN TO BE MY BABY
I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD
RAISE YOUR HANDS
THESE DAYS

Encore 1:
JUST OLDER
SOMEDAY I'LL BE SATURDAY NIGHT

Encore 2:
CAPTAIN CRASH & THE BEAUTY QUEEN FROM MARS
BAD MEDICINE
SHOUT

And Let it Rock- Bruce has been averaging 26-27 songs but his songs are longer. Land of Hope and Dreams alone is 12 minutes!!

he's not been averaging that many

manchester is longest show as far as i know with 27 songs, so not averaging

his shows are longer though, as are "most" of his songs... but there are also a few 4-5 min ones in there

28 songs x 4-5 minutes for many of those... i hope KTF was like the versions before jon's voice went...

i'm guessing his voice is back though from what i've heard

They are very commercial in the way of their media approach, but I wouldn't say they are in their music. They have a unique style most unlike anything I've ever heard, and despite the success of their first album they have stayed true to it.

And even if you don't like their music (I can see why some people wouldn't), you cannot say Chris Martin isn't a talented musician. He plays guitar, piano and vocals, and he does it all to perfection. Don't get what you like and dislike confused with talent.

Bruce's European shows I believe, and I am on that board so I have been reading the reviews have not been under 25 songs. In the US he was averaging 22-25 songs with some longer. Bruce can drag out even a 4-5 minute number live. All I was saying is that the song numbers have been about the same between the Jersey acts and as someone who will see both again this summer, I hope they can keep this up for Giants.

i'm sure bruce will keep it up yes Jedi, he's like a teenager at the moment (always has been in some ways i suppose - lots of energy, mischeivous on stage)

i can sing, play guitar and piano/keyboards and drums but i'm only talented at the guitar

there are levels of ability that necessitate talent... and he doesn't play them complexly... i can play what he plays to "perfection" since it is simple music, i can't play what EVH, vai, satriani play to perfection (though i can play a lot of it) because it is complex and they are truly talented

Hmmmmm, good point Walrus! Actually, I've only just noticed that RSOW hasn't been on any of the European setlists, which pisses me off somewhat. I'm glad Hook Me Up has made a comeback, but couldn't it have replaced something else?

Keep On Rockin'
