I even enjoyed Amen, which is a song I never cared much for. They played until 10:54 and I swear Jon loked like he wanted to keep playing, but curfew is 11:00.

I talked to Obie and introduced Sandra as a NEW fan. I told him she became a fan with This House. He asked where had she been. She looked like she didn’t know what to say, so I said, “She’s been teaching, raising kids, stuff like that.” He said that would suck the life right out of you and we agreed. He asked who else had she seen in concert and she said no one. He said the Beatles were the greatest band ever and I told him he was being sacrilegious because Bon Jovi is the greatest band ever. Fun moment.

On the way out, I heard two older guys talking. One said, “This has to be at the top.” The other said they were “even better than Simon & Garfunkel because they played much longer.” Other people were commenting on how long the show was. I didn’t hear any complaints except about the merchandise prices.

Security was good, the crowd was good. One drunk woman fell flat on her face by the aisle in front of me during Make a Memory. Other people helped her. I was annoyed she went splat during a song I really wanted to hear. I just don’t understand why people go to concerts and get drunk.

I wondered if most of the audience had been like me, a teenager or maybe in their 20’s at their first Bon Jovi show.

Most people were sitting while the band played the extended solos while Jon left the stage. I wanted ask them all, “Do you have no soul? This sounds incredible!!!”

I’d go to every show if I could. Alas, I work for the school system in Mississippi so I’m po’.
Sounds like you had a great time, Becky. I'm glad it worked out so you could see them. And congrats on introducing a new fan. Good job!
