In an earlier thread, someone said the different stuff seems to make an appearance at the beginning of the encores. Since he said basically the same thing with Labor of Love and LWTG, I wonder if he means "no new songs" or "just hits" for the remainder of the regular sets; and encores don't count as a part of that statement.

Well, at least it was a tour debut. And it wasn't anything from WAN. And Reunion was my no.1 candidate for the only new song that was going to survive the usual purge after the first 3 shows so it's a huge (pleasant) surprise to see it's a one-time thing (hopefully it'll disappear after last night). So yeah... it could have been worse, that's my mantra this tour

I don't get it. Either he just had a genuinely good time, wanted to prove something, because it's California (but haven't they been in LA yet?) and Richie lives there, or he tried the wine before the show instead of afterwards

But what a difference, and that on a back-to-back night... He sings better, moves more, enjoys himself, hell even his talking voice seems higher again (when he's interacting with the audience during songs)... I really hope it's really all just psychological and he slowly seems to get it behind him!

Big improvement indeed, I'd even dare to say this was pretty good. It was quite enjoyable at least. My expectations plummeted after the first show so I may be too easy to please right now. But there was another recent LYHOM that sounded pretty decent too, I think it was Dallas, so maybe it's not too naïve to believe this can get better
