Smile Meadowlands Concert, have some questions

Hi all,
Been lurking for a while, thought I'd post to get your opinions. Been a fan of the band since the 80's.

I know many of you don't really like some of the later music (see i've read posts )I really like "Lost Highway", I like "The Circle" as well though my fave is probably "New Jersey"

Saw them in Central Park a few years ago. My daughter and I were about 10-20 feet from the stage, I took over 400 photos and couldn't stop talking about the concert for weeks.

Anyway, I bought tickets to the concert at the Meadowlands for the second night (May 27th) last fall.

I found out this morning a local radio station was giving away tix to the first night's show. Well I still can't believe it, but my husband managed to call in and win!! (I was also trying on another phone) So now we are probably going to go to both shows.

Would you just get a hotel and stay in Jersey overnight? I live in the suburbs of NYC and am not sure if it's worth it to go home just to come back the next day. Problem is both my hubby and I are working on Wednesday, he's self employed so not such a big problem for him, for me it might be. I already took Friday off but wanted to take Thursday off too especially if we sleep over in Jersey on Wednesday night.

I have no idea where the seats are that we won, someone from the radio station is supposed to contact us tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm assuming they have to be pretty damn good seats no? I'm guessing they're probably better than the seats i bought, section 128 any thoughts??

If I'm not able to get off from work for both Thursday and Friday, then I may just have to go to the first night's show since I'm assuming the radio's seats are better than mine. Hubby is being a really good sport and willing to go to both concerts, he's not really a fan but does like their music. What a dilemma to have

We were thinking of driving through Manhattan, rather than going through Brooklyn, for you locals is this a good idea? I know the belt parkway is a nightmare during rush hour, any thoughts on this?

Thanks so much!!!

I'm not from NYC, but a couple thoughts:
A- you have to go to both shows
B- get a room. Way better than dealing withthe driving/stress etc.....make it a mini get away/Bon Jovi weekend deal.

Have fun!

-Where in NYC are you from?
-Going through Staten Island is probably a better bet than either of those two.
-There's no way you can go to both shows if you don't get off work?

Well, I was able to get the day off, so I'm going 1st and 2nd night! so excited.

Still don't know where my seats are for the first night. I either have to go to Manhattan and pick up the tix at the radio station or I can pick them up that night in the parking lot of the stadium.

Crushgen, I live in Long Island, hubby is thinking of going through Manhattan.
