Default Melbourne ticket prices

My ex is telling me he's skipping this one because tickets start at $200. I'm here thinking, surely this can't be right. So I googled and found a Silver Rear View, whatever that means, for $149.90 (strange categories btw). Which is $50 less but still a totally ridiculous price considering it's the cheapest. That's about €107. €107 for a ticket with the word "rear" on it, doesn't sound too good. I still can not believe it. Is this really the cheapest ticket you can get for Melbourne?

You're a few months late. Yes this is the price. The cost of living in Australia is high. The cost of being entertained in Australia is also high. It's not just Bon Jovi.

I think that might be for the show at Rod Laver, tickets are alot more expensive there because it holds alot less, i think its only like 15,000 people. The show at Etihad stadium was abit less expensive, i think the cheapest tickets were $100 or just under, as the capacity will be roughly 50,000. altho im not sure how many tickets will be left for either...

Oh, now I understand why they're so expensive, it makes sense. I meant the Rod Laver Arena yes. I saw Alice Cooper there when I was living in Melbourne, I know it's a pretty small venue. Wasn't aware they were playing Etihad as well. The prices there are a lot more reasonable. So you can still catch a Jovi show for less than $200 after all Thanks for the clarification Tom.

Sting ticket prices were roughly the same. My parents are going to the Perth show and they paid $200 per ticket and the seats arent spectacular.

A reat seat will mean you'd be behind the stage and wouldn't even catch a glimpse of Jon's arse, let alone see him sing.

Friend of mine has decided she wants to go and is trying to get a ticket of Ebay. The scalpers have bought up big and selling their tickets for about $700. Someone was selling a pit ticket the other day for $1800!

Oh yeah, individual sellers LOVE to sell ridiculous prices for tickets. On StubHub, someone's selling a 12th row ticket OUTSIDE OF THE PIT for $5000! I just can't fathom why anybody would think someone would buy that.

time for a stupid question

what kind of people would pay these ridiculous prices to wind up behind the stage?! where do you even look at? if you'll end up just listening to it just take a pouff with you and sit outside the venue...
