I'm sure Jon can still sing it. Last night he had no troubles at all even on the "livin on a prayer" scream he stopped doing on the previous few tours. Maybe he can't do something like Always or Hey God but he can do Keep The Faith just fine.

Just out of curiosity sp? why can't it just be what Jon said it was, as I recall KTF and Sat Night were being played some before Thanksgiving. It's only in the run up to the holidays that these have been missing, maybe he really does think that both of these are darker songs and not what he and the band want to play around holiday time. I doubt either one is out of the setlist for good, they are both great live songs which Jon does very well.

Well one of us should check the setlists back from other Holiday tours to see if he felt the same then. But then again, it's been kind of a shitty year for the States so who knows..

Ok I went over to Aeg and pulled up the setlists from Nov2 until Dec 14. During that time Sat Night has been played at 13 shows, KTF at 3. From some people that have acquired setlists from shows KTF on this leg anyway is on as an audible from Jon, it's there but it's up to him whether it gets played or not, it's not off the list, it's just he's choosing not to put it in very often right now. I'd say his remarks about it in the WP article are true, he just doesn't think it fits in to the show they are doing right now.

That setlist is really a disappointment. The first show was a pretty nice one, but the 2nd show was really standard.. Too standard and Bounce is also out.

I'm glad that Jon still remembers he has written a certain album that contains songs like STBI and Hey God, but on the other hand: he always takes Hey God as an example. I guess "I wanna be loved" is also to dark then Jon? Surprised you still play "Last Cigarette"! However, I guess that would be something that fans would like and .... *Sorry y'all, but I'm a bit disappointed.*

And Blood On Blood: the song of friendship as Jon has always said. Why is that one gone? That especially would be a Christmas song if he feels like he has to sing "happy" songs because of the upcomming holidays.

We'll see if it's "true" or not when the Holidays have past and/or when the reach Europe, allthough I'm afraid a song like CC will never be pulled from the setlist .

He also says TLFR was hated by the fans, but why then play them? I don't understand his thinking.

KTF is a very physical song, anyone who has seen it played before knows how much energy Jon puts into it. Also keep in mind, most of this tour is back to back shows. Yes, the set list maybe conservative, but he is still kickin ass and taking names.
