He has not. They have postponed before because Tico sprained his wrist in Australia in 1995 and because he had 2 emergency surgeries when they were in Mexico in 2013. Jon has scheduled surgery around tour dates. Jon and Richie both had the flu at one show. I'm fuzzy on when that was, but I do remember them talking about it. Jon has also performed with back, leg, and knee injuries. Richie performed with arm/shoulder injury. David went on the night his father died. Historically, these guys have been very dedicated to " the show must go on."

Denver wasn't cancelled because of illness. It was cancelled because it won't work logistically and they would lose more money going all the way out there and putting on the show. Springsteen last year had to go from Seattle to NYC to Denver because NYC was a makeup show and it was a total loss of money. Albeit that maybe 3 million dollars is nothing to these guys, but in a business sense, nobody wants to lose 3 million (obviously that's a made up number but it's somewhere near there).

While it stings and hurts now, the fans will get over it. He may lose a few, but there's always a new fan that comes in to take their place. It's just how the concert business works. I live only 3 blocks away from MSG so these reschedules have no affect on me except maybe I go to a club tonight and wind up drinking

I assume that was in Yokohama in 2003 when they wanted to record the acoustic concert for a possible release. Both had a cold at that show. In fact they had been sick more than once in Japan, but I think this was the one time both were ill.

Not one person in this thread showed one bit of concern for Jon's health! Nice!

That's not true. Several of us have said he's doing the right thing and hope his health doesn't get worse.

At his age, I'm very concerned. My dad was 56 when he got bronchitis that turned to pneumonia that went to his heart and killed him. He had no history of heart problems. This is nothing to play around with.

That's my point... without rest, bronchitis can turn serious... people need to chill....

I don't get it. How is your point different because you're making it than it was when others made the same point?

Wasn't Jon's response in the beginning of the tour regarding additional legs being added something like it depends on the status of everyone's health?

I know bronchitis is temporary, but it's a little strange he said that months ago when everyone was seemingly fine.

I hope there isn't something more serious wrong with him and that it was just coincidental foresight.

This is true. I was at the show after David's dad died and Jon gave a great speech to Mr. Raushbaum about how supportive he always was of them, giving them his van, money, buying them beer etc in the early days. David then launched into the extended piano intro of Right Side of Wrong and looked to the sky to pay tribute to him. I don't know how he went on that night but he did, like a true professional.

When I first heard of the shows being cancelled I was honestly shocked because it's so unlike Jon but that just goes to show you he must really be sick. Hopefully these days off will help him feel better. I'm sure he didn't want to do it

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3
