David then launched into the extended piano intro of Right Side of Wrong and looked to the sky to pay tribute to him. I don't know how he went on that night but he did, like a true professional.

When I first heard of the shows being cancelled I was honestly shocked because it's so unlike Jon but that just goes to show you he must really be sick. Hopefully these days off will help him feel better. I'm sure he didn't want to do it
I was at that show too - and I was very impressed. Another reason why - since he cancelled MSG - it was just not really like him. I figured he must be really sick.

I live close too - so it's not that big a deal for me. But geeze - nobody cancels New York City unless they are really hurting.

Well, I had planned a trip to New Jersey for Easter, so I'll be in town for the Saturday show. I hadn't planned on going to a show but this seems like maybe it was meant to be. If the price is right I think I might try for it. Still hope Jon gets better and feel bad for the fans that traveled.

I remember an interview on 60 minutes, and the guy was asking Jon about the size of the operation, with so many employees, and he asked "What if you get sick?" Jon said "I can't afford to be sick" with this many people counting on him.

And they didn't. They just postponed New York City; and opted to cancel Denver instead. Surely all the people who made plans to go to the Denver show can see the logic behind that. Especially the ones who made plans twice to see the same now-cancelled show.

I have never been as disappointed in Jon and the band as I am right now.

I was let down with the show being postponed, but it was only a month and I was able to make additional plans to get back to Denver next weekend. Now, the show is flat out canceled with only a week's notice.

And, simply because they value a certain venue and certain fans over others.

I guess you didn't get the memo that Jon has bronchitis right now, but I think you would have just been as upset if Jon had pheunomia, which is worse than bronchitis, he had to postponed because if would have played, it would have gotten worse like getting pheumonia.

I feel the same way, Adam; and it's not even my show. Maybe there's a good reason, besides the obvious. I hope there is, because the obvious one sucks.

Health I could understand and support; but intentionally scheduling two shows, one the day before and the other the day after a show that had already been re-scheduled, at a venue more than halfway across the country, seems hard to justify. JMO.

We all got the memo, rosa3; and I don't think many ppl are questioning the fact that Jon needed to postpone MSG because of bronchitis. That's perfectly understandable because, of course, he should take care of himself.

What I find hard to understand is why he would then turn around and reschedule both MSG shows on top of another show that had already been postponed and re-scheduled. That doesn't sound like a health concern to me. It sounds more like what Kathleen said: "nobody cancels New York City."

But in what universe is that fair to the fans who were planning to attend the re-scheduled Denver show? Especially the fans like Adam who had already changed his plans once, and spent even more money, because his first Denver show was postponed?

I know its upsetting for people that it was handled the way it did, but we can't change it now. And I am sure Jon fought hard to keep the MSG shows on regular schedule but I think his doctors got in the way and said no, let's face it, it would have been a disaster two shows if it was this weekend, then people here would have complained as well, with Jon there is no win, damn if you damn if you don't, some fans here just don't seem to understand at all. Health should always be the no.1 priority, plain and simple, especially for something as serious as bronchitis, IDK if anyone had this happen to them, I have not gotten that sick as to get bronchitis, but its very serious, it effects lungs, your respitory system. which can affect his voice, damage it even more, and possibly other problems could have occured, possibly high fever, weakness, dizziness, you get the picture. I am by no means a doctor at all or have any medical degree or knowledge, but I do know if bronchitis is not treated right away, it could get worse, now I am sure fans don't want Jon to get worse, go to the hospital, maybe be in a ventilator or a breathing tube all because he wanted to please you guys so you get pissed off.
