I was let down with the show being postponed, but it was only a month and I was able to make additional plans to get back to Denver next weekend. Now, the show is flat out canceled with only a week's notice.

And, simply because they value a certain venue and certain fans over others.

Did you get this? Not that it helps your disappointment but hopefully he will really make it up to you!

Jon says to Keep the Faith and I know he will make it up to the fans. Not fun for fans to have a show cancelled but he is really sick and needs to get better. I'm sure he feels even sicker because he had to cancel. Wishing him a quick recovery.

When I previously asked if Jon has been ill before I meant has he missed a show - cancelled or postponed - because of only him.

If he hasn't then I'd say he's had a pretty good record of not letting fans down over 30+ years.

Again, wishing him the best and hope he can rest without the distraction of trying to please others right now. He can do that once he gets better.

Deb,

I did get the email and it helped me feel a little better.

Thing is, I don't live in Denver, my mom does and we were going to go together.

I live in Florida and getting back to Denver a third time will prove pretty difficult with a two year old at home.

Hopefully, the fans in Denver, my mom included, do get it made up to them. Just hope I'm there.

Hands down the dumbest post I have seen in here for some time.

Taking shots at fans who have been treated shoddily to blindly defend JBJ as per usual. Everyone got the memo about Jon's bronchitis, that's not the issue here. It's about rescheduling the 2 msg at the expense of the Denver show, which had already been postponed for no given reason. Denver wasn't cancelled because of his bronchitis, it was so they could play 2 nights in msg instead.

I know certain people here and on social media love to crawl up Jon's arsehole at every opportunity, but how about a little compassion for your fellow fans? Normal people who end up missing a show or losing money on flights and hotels. They are allowed to be angry no matter how valid the reason.

Health should always be the no.1 priority, plain and simple, especially for something as serious as bronchitis, IDK if anyone had this happen to them, I have not gotten that sick as to get bronchitis, but its very serious, it effects lungs, your respitory system. which can affect his voice, damage it even more, and possibly other problems could have occured, possibly high fever, weakness, dizziness, you get the picture. I am by no means a doctor at all or have any medical degree or knowledge, but I do know if bronchitis is not treated right away, it could get worse, now I am sure fans don't want Jon to get worse, go to the hospital, maybe be in a ventilator or a breathing tube all because he wanted to please you guys so you get pissed off.
What the hell are yoou talking about? That's not the point Adam is making!!! His show is not cancelled because of bronchitis. His show is cancelled because Jon would rather play two shows in MSG than the one in Denver. I think it's really unfair since those people once lost their money for flights and hotels in March, made new reservations for April and now lose it again with no other date? Only with thoughts that the band will rather play somewhere else. I'm not saying, Jon's a devil or anything, I truly believe that MSG just wasn't available in different dates (I hope so) and I believe that he's not happy about it. No one is questioning that he had the right to cancel. They're old guys, let's face it. Such things will happen more often.

We've got extra guitarist since 2003 on stage, for the Hand tour there was an extra keyboard player, this tour we have and extra rhythm/percussionist, so the only post that wasn't doubled is the bassist and the singer? Isn't it time to have another vocalist onstage? :P just in case the first one can't sing or sigs bad :P Or weren't all the extra musicians there because of the singing pretending to be there because of playing?

And how is it going to help things to be angry? Its not going to change, Jon is not going to change his situation because fans are angry, especially for something that it's beyond his control. I don't know if anyone here read in an earlier post, or maybe it was on BJ facebook, the reason why the Denver show was cancelled, according to what this person said, is because there was no way the tour trucks that carry all of the stage equipment, gear, lighting, etc was gonna make it on time from NYC to Denver, then come back to NYC for the 2nd show, and its not fair for the road crew to travel all those miles back and forth from Denver to NYC, it would be a nightmare to do, and with unpredicatble weather right now, there could be delays. So, no matter how much fans are angry right now, and I understand, but being angry won't solve the problem, thats life, simple as that, things happen that we can't control, even Bon Jovi can't control everything his way, things just happen, I don't understand why people here feel that by being angry is gonna help? I understand to want to vent out fustration, and thats ok, its good, its healthy, but just going it over and over again isn't gonna change the situation.

While I agree it was the right call to postpone MSG, it's piss poor to cancel Denver. You can be guaranteed it would not have happened the other way around. Cancel a MSG date to play Denver?????

Not a chance.

Jon should be recuperating, not worrying about fans so much he's writing an apology letter. I know it's appreciated, but it's sad to me that all the complaining and such is keeping him from getting the rest he needs. He's not going to get better if he's worrying about everyone else right now.

Someone needs to knock him out with medicine and make him sleep for a few days!

Jon should be worrying though. It was his decision to cancel Denver. That's nothing to do with illness. He prioritised MSG over another show which is bullshit.

All the complaining is keeping him from getting rest??? Grow up.
