That was a great read, I'm stoked for you and don't even know you personally. You certainly got your money's worth on the FC trip in every sense! And yeah, thanks for putting our minds at ease about that mysterious drink of Richie's. I guessed correctly that it may well be apple juice

Only thing is... shouldn't your guitar have Richie's autograph, as well??

Oh, forgot to add this... Jon taking his sunglasses off at the start of the Q&A FC meeting in Australia.

Yeah there's a story behind that but I didn't want to ruin the happiness of my post. The FC coordinator said he'd "100% get it signed by the band" and then he said the band arrived late to the RDS or something and he couldn't. I was pretty sad about that, but I still got much more than I expected originally so I'm alright with that. Plus, at the end of the trip Richie's friend I mentioned TEXTED HIM about me. I don't know what she said but she told me that she did. Maybe if I'm incredibly lucky, down the road she can set something up for me

Thanks again everyone. And also, to Seb, I know I could have gotten more shows and had extra money. Since it was with the family (and it was hard enough to convince them for this, especially since my stepdad isn't a fan at all) they wanted something totally planned already, so this is what we got.

Looking back now and seeing what I got extra with the guitar, backstage tour, and everything else, I'm don't think I would change anything even though it was pure luck.

Well that's nice that it all went great, I recall reading your posts before you left being worried about the whole thing.

Yeah, I'm terrible with my worrying. About died of worry when I first heard of Richie's rehab, and then saw that first setlist after Jon hurt his knee.

Congrats man! I bet you will never forget your trip to Dublin and your experience, and no matter what you read or hear don't let it diminish it in any way, because it is only "yours".

That said and kinda on the line of what Seb pointed out, I would add that only for those new fans, all these FC trips and deals must be the greatest opportunity for something special, and if they would know how things worked out on the past, well...

The times when I guess Jon was not shy and would take the sunglasses off at FC events (indoors for sure), letting the fans surround him not speaking from a stage or podium (of course less people at the events), not being announced prior to the event, as a real surprise having pictures or autographs signs for everyone, now this is announced so people can justify the $$, and front rows at face value!!!

Those were the days, today is... because everyone is doing it and it's worth it, OK... music or business.. you know which one wins.
