i have tons of good quality boots other than the BJ / Nash. show.[/color]

i only trade for known-sourced stuff, if that's what you mean. if a show is taped and then there are 10 different sources of it, i want to know what the source info is for the version(s) that i get so that i don't end up getting the same version again by mistake. plus, if there's a version of a show recorded from the analog/digital master onto CDR, then i'd generally rather have that than a CDR copy from unknown generation analog tapes filled with hiss. if my keeping up with info about the shows i collect classifies me as a "hardcore (a.k.a. 'hc') trader," fine, that's what i am. i try to get the best quality possible in the first place, instead of sub-par quality copies and keep on trading 3-5 times for the same show to get a decent version.

maybe it's time for a new sound system. (not trying to rip on your equipment), but to quote someone else on a different message board: "i hear huge differences between my masters and mp3 copies.
i didn't spend the $$ i did on recording gear so someone could butcher
the recording by MP3ing it." (- Scott Brown)

that's fine for you. as i said before, i want the best quality/version possible, and i do not have time and do not want to waste time on inferior copies. in many/most trading circles, MP3-sourced stuff is a no-no. the only reason i mentioned it is because it seems that the "Bon Jovi trading community" here seems big on trading MP3 stuff, and i want quality not compressed crap.
i'll again quote Scott Brown (from another message board): "if you want to MP3 my shows, then i just won't spread my future shows. you can't mp3 what you don't have.
that simple."
not trying to be mean... i don't want my stuff on ebay being sold by some jerk who downloaded MP3s of it. i've seen that type of thing happen all too often.
MP3s are fine for a sound sample, but the quality is definitely not as good as pure sources. that's a fact. MP3s kill the highend on recordings and i'm not keen on getting crappy-sounding MP3 stuff.
