Default Need some advice from Veteran fans...

I play of the Slippery Rock University Hockey Team, and to make a real long story short our game was just cancelled on 2-8-03...so now I can go to the concert in PSU! The only thing is I have no tickets. I was thinking about driving up anyways, and trying to scalp. Do you think I'll have any luck? How much do you think I'd have to pay? All I'm llooking for, is to get in the door. If any of you concert veterans have any experience in this your advise would help!

Let it Rock!

All I can say is how did you choose a hockey game over a BJ concert in the first place?

Actually, more tickets for that show were just released 2 days ago. You can still get floor seats now on Ticketmaster.

If you want to use a scalper, go through an agency--don't buy from someone at the show. I've used www.southeasttickets.com and www.showmetickets.com Some others are www.encoretickets.com and www.empiretickets.com Just do an internet search (like google) and you'll find a lot of agencies.

All I can say is keep away from Scalpers. Beside the fact that you shouldn't support this, it also can happen that you pay for something that you never get. This is what happened to me last year in London. I didn't know that I bought from a Scalper because here in Germany Scalpers don't have an office and stand in the phone book. I payed a lot of money, flew to London and didn't get my ticket from this guy.

Fortunately I got a ticket for London from the record company that got to know what happened but I know of people who flew to London for nothing.

So IF you really want to buy on the "black market", go to the venue and buy there. Because there you get your ticket the moment you pay for it and maybe even find one for face value. That's what a pal of mine did in 2000. He was in Berlin for business reasons and in the evening he thought it was boring in a foreign city and that he could go to the BJ-concert that night. He went to the Waldbühne and got a ticket for face value from someone who had one ticket left.

hey, thanks to everyone who wrote back. Sarah, I tried ticketmaster just now and they didn't have anything available. Not sure what I'm gonna do, but if any one else has good foolproof ideas, let me know!
