Default Neurotica80's Frankfurt 3rd June Review you've been waiting for!!

....ok maybe not but I think I deserve my own thread :d

Actually I can't really add much to whats already been said about this show.

Fantasic first show of the European tour. Germans get the best shows, this is my third now and i'd say they are all up there with the best.
We got there about 3pm, wanted to make the most of looking round Frankfurt, which is a nice City btw. Backstagewithmatt F-ed u[p tho as we found out Fan club members with tix had already been let in. However it didnt make much difference to us is the end. We got a spot 4 rows back near to Richie but decided to come further back as everyone was crammed in and we were stood behind 2 girls with about 6 banners. We came out to a few meters back and I actually pref the view in some ways.

I wont go through every song, but highlights for me were Blood Money - I just stood and listened in awe at Jon singing it with just an accoustic, Mercy (iv still got the song in my head 2 days later - yeh yeh yeh!), Bed of Roses which is the best version I have EVER heard live, Blaze - awesome this song is back to its best), In these arms, KTF with Sympathy and Prayer (predictable but the crowd were loud for it)

So we come onto the Encore, now this is how an encore should be. Damned - Well all I can say is im glad I tried to stay away from bootlegs and youtube clips.. We saw some lyrics go down and knew we were gonna get something special. The If loving you is wrong intro was superb and I wanst sure what was coming, but then the intro to damned my face just lit up! Great performance by Jon on this one.

Then These Days....dont get me wrong I loved this song and Jon is singing it better than ever. I also wanted it for Yvonne cos I know what it means to her. BUT when Jon said "so what do you wanna hear now?" I really think in the mood he was in we could of got ANYTHING so I think it was an opportunity missed somewhat.

Overall this was an excellent start to my 2008 tour. Im off on the German tour next time, anyone coming???

I just wanna thank Yvonne and Chris for making my Birthday really special, its certainly one I will never forget!!

Pics to follow...

My girlfreind loved Mercy in Munich too and she's still singing it And it's been almost two weeks ago

What song would you have chosen instead of These Days?

It was a fun few days, glad I could be of help haha! Reading back over that and Sebs just makes me realise how lucky I was to be at such a good show

When I was watching the show I kept thinking to myself "this is as good as the o2" All the energy from the whole band made it worthwhile being there!!!!

There are some interesting photos from the whole trip, haha!!!! Even watching Bed Of Roses makes me smile still!!!!!
Who would've thought that at a GA show we'd be having cocktails and actually be able to move, without being so squashed in!!!!!!!

Heres to Amsterdam!
