Thanks for going with the son of Satan theories there, Mimi. You make my point for me.

Glad All Over is the kind of song that would usually be the start of a few songs. Therefore I believe him. I don't think he's "using" the injury. I don't think he's even aware of the bitching that goes on at a site like this so I doubt there's some conspiracy to snowball the fans.

You both are (Rainsong + Becky) blind followers. You two (and some more people) are always defending Jon and the band on every discission they make...

I'm not a "blind follower" because I take a man at his word. I'm not a conspiracy theorist either which is what a bunch of people on this forum are turning into. They denigrate Jon no matter what he does. That's just as extreme as your so-called "blind follower" label. I don't think everything the man does is perfect, but I don't automatically look for hidden motives, agendas, or dramas either. There's a happy balance in between the two extremes.

I'm more willing to trust guys like Brian who were there and claim that with the way the night was going it was obvious the encore wasn't going to be any longer than it was. That was one of the worst shows they've ever done, yet already we have people trying to make Jon a hero out of it

I don't think Jon's the son of Satan, there's a lot of things about him I really like. If anything I wish he'd embrace the sarcastic arrogant side of him a bit more instead of trying to hide it behind a really fake "I'm a caring guy" facade. I don't mind the fact he runs Bon Jovi with an iron fist. But shit like "After almost playing for three hours my leg busted" is silly. And come on, of course Jon knows fans were bitching about the encore: do you honestly think a man as meticulous and thorough as Jon Bon Jovi didn't check up on the reaction to that show?

Who the fcuk really cares either way? There's no redo button for Friday night. Arguing about whether the set would have gone into a few more songs is pointless, it will still go down as a very disappointing show and possibly as someone put it, "Hull of America".

To insinuate that Jon purposely got injured or that it is "convenient" is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

It's also quite hard to take everything Jon says as honest. The 2:45 mark? Nice try Jon.

You're assuming he knows that 7 people who post at DC thought the show was bad and that it matters to him. I bet if you go to Backstage, there'll be people praising the show. Are those opinions any less valid? And even if they sucked at Backstage too, do you think he really has time to scour websites for reviews? I don't think think the opinions (positive or negative) of a handful of online fans have even reached him enough that he would feel the need to come up with some cover story. That seems a bit of a reach.

I also don't think that simply taking the man at his word is the same as "making a hero" out of him. I simply believe him when he says he had something else in mind for the encore. Got it from the horse's mouth, as they say.

BTW... Thanks, Dawn!

Agreed. Some of you are giving yourself too much credit to suggest that Jon feels the need to provide an excuse to you.
