So.... I have a good feeling about these promo shows, I wanted them to schedule some shows prior to release that really highlighted the new material and it looks like we're getting just that. At first I thought the shows were gonna be RT exclusive but after reading through some comments I take it that's not the case? I hope so anyway.....

Yep, plus the time is quite good imo (three weeks pre Release). With WAN, the time between the January Shows and the march Release felt really really long.
Still, i think the audience for that Shows is far too Exclusive - but we'll See what they Put out of the Shows to the public.

These promo shows/RT packages are the tester for what future Bon Jovi tours will be. Mark my words on this.

The band cannot sell out big venues anymore. Smaller venues means less money from ticket sales so to compensate they will increase prices dramatically.

It's all greed and ego.

Fans are getting an inferior product at inflated prices. And still biting. JBJ is a much better businessman than frontman. I'll give him that.

Default New shows (promo?)

Read what I posted, bored housewives of rich businessmen.

If you are not one of those with a career then why be offended?

It's no different to bored husbands of rich business women but from what I've seen of previous shows it's 90% women who would only know prayer.

I'm not insulting women I'm suggesting the type of women who go to these shows and I may be totally wrong!

If that is true (and I guess it is, or better, I'm afraid it is), Jon must know that the band won't be going on for a long time. Otherwise it would be a stupid decision to ruin the band's image too much by doing this; first, there will still be many who "bite", as you put it. But in the long run, this system would implode.
So if all the pessimistic assumptions are true, this is kind of a closing sale of what's left to sell... except the band, or the "house", itself of course

Id love the London shows to flop and not sell out but.....but as I said before London is the business capital and companies will use it to entertain clients. I'm hoping no die hard buys a ticket as a protest but there's always a few mugs lapping it up

The band have been a very successful touring act for a long time but even Jon must know he surely can't sustain a huge tour with his vocal problems. As huge as the ticket sales have been, they have not been anywhere near the sell outs they would have you believe.

I've no doubt that aside from the financial gain, Jon's ego is being well and truly massaged in knowing he can sell tickets for thousands of pounds/dollars etc.

So if and when he scales down the Stadium/Arena shows, the saving of face for an ego as big as Jon's will be in the fact "these special shows are the hottest ticket in town, selling out in minutes with fans paying upwards of $2000 a ticket"...

Great PR. Shit for us fans.

Couldn't agree more. JBJ is a great businessman. The company I work for have prestigious boxes at Old Trafford for exactly that. Entertaining clients. Half the people who use the box have no interest in football.

My company buys tickets to American football at Wembley. 3/4 of the people that go have no interest in the game but go for free food and drink.

Will be the same here.

Yep. Definitely.

I don't know if this would be allowed, but I think these Promo shows should have been a reward for pre-ordering the new album. Something along the lines of, with every album pre-ordered you are entered into a draw for free tickets to these exclusive shows where you get to meet the band and see them play the entire album and other songs live, in an intimate venue.

Great incentive for fence sitters to buy the album and great PR for the band.
